Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan strategi pembelajaran yang digunakan guru dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler karawitan di SMP Negeri 2 Cibinong, agar bisa diterapkan oleh sekolah lain yang melaksanakan ekstrakurikuler karawitan khususnya musik degung dengan maksud membantu melestarikan kesenian Jawa Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode yang bersifat deskriptif kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Untuk menguji keabsahan data, penelitian ini menggunakan teknik triangulasi yang membandingkan antara sumber data yang satu dengan yang lain. Teknik analisis interaktif digunakan untuk menganalisis data penelitian ini, yang terdiri atas pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Objek penelitian ini mengenai strategi pembelajaran, dengan memfokuskan proses pembelajaran degung pada ekstrakurikuler di SMP Negeri 2 Cibinong. Hasil penelitian ini terdapat dua jenis strategi yang digunakan yaitu strategi pembelajaran ekspositori dan strategi interaktif, sedangkan materi yang diberikan oleh guru kepada peserta ekstrakurikuler disesuaikan dengan fasilitas sekolah dan kemampuan siswa dalam bermusik. Metode yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran ekstrakurikuler degung adalah metode ceramah, demonstrasi, dan drill. Stategi pembelajaran ini digunakan karena selain proses pembelajaran berpusat pada guru, juga melibatkan peseta ekstrakurikuler sebagai subjek pembelajaran. Guru pembimbing secara sistematis menyampaikan materi, mengarahkan kepada siswa, dan menguji kemampuan serta keterampilan siswa melalui latihan yang dibimbing. ***** The purpose of this study was to describe the learning strategies used by teachers in extracurricular musical activities at SMP Negeri 2 Cibinong, so that they can be applied by other schools that carry out musical extracurricular activities, especially degung music, with the aim of helping preserve West Javanese arts. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method. Data obtained through participatory observation, interviews and documentation. To test the validity of the data, this study used a triangulation technique that compared one data source with another. Interactive analysis techniques were used to analyze the research data, which consisted of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The object of this research is about learning strategies, by focusing on the extracurricular gamelan learning process at SMP Negeri 2 Cibinong. The results of this study are that there are two types of strategies used, namely expository learning strategies and interactive strategies, while the material provided by teachers to extracurricular participants is adapted to school facilities and students' abilities in music. The method used in degung extracurricular learning is lecture, demonstration, and drill methods. This learning strategy is used because in addition to the teacher-centered learning process, it also involves extracurricular participants as learning subjects. The supervising teacher systematically conveys material, directs it to students, and tests students' abilities and skills through guided exercises.
