Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan social comparison dengan body dissatisfaction pada wanita dewasa awal pengguna media sosial tiktok. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei dan pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah wanita dewasa awal 18-25 tahun pengguna media sosial tiktok berjumlah 111 orang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik non probability sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis uji korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan social comparison dengan body dissatisfaction dalam kategori lemah. Dengan nilai koofisien korelasi sebesar 0,288** menunjukan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara social comparison dengan body dissatisfaction. This study aims to determine the relationship between social comparison and body dissatisfaction among young adult women who use the TikTok social media platform. This research employs a quantitative approach with a survey method, and data collection is carried out through questionnaire distribution. The population for this study consists of 111 early adult women aged 18-25 years who are users of the TikTok social media platform. Sampling is done using non-probability sampling techniques. Data analysis is conducted using correlation analysis. The research results indicate that there is a relationship between social comparison and body dissatisfaction in the low category. With a correlation coefficient value of 0.288**, it demonstrates a significant positive relationship between social comparison and body dissatisfaction.
