Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil dari masing-masing sembilan elemen literasi digital gagasan Steve Wheeler pada mahasiswa program studi Teknologi Pendidikan angkatan 2022. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian survei dan metode sensus/sampling total. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kondisi literasi digital secara keseluruhan pada keseluruhan populasi mendapatkan skor 76,89% atau dikategorikan “Sangat Baik”. Elemen Social Networking mendapatkan skor 80,52% atau dikategorikan “Sangat Baik”. Elemen Transliteracy mendapatkan skor 80,75% atau dikategorikan “Sangat Baik”. Elemen Maintaining Privacy mencapai skor 82,92% atau dikategorikan “Sangat Baik”. Elemen Managing Identity mendapatkan skor sebesar 80,05% atau dikategorikan “Sangat Baik”. Elemen Creating Content mencapai skor sebesar 70,19% dikategorikan “Baik”. Elemen Organising and Sharing Content mencapai skor 74,14% atau dikategorikan “Baik”. Elemen Reusing/Repurposing Content mencapai skor 80,61% atau dikategorikan “Sangat Baik”. Elemen Filtering and Selecting Content mendapatkan skor 78,33% atau dikategorikan “Sangat Baik”. Dan elemen Self Broadcasting mencapai skor 64,51% atau dikategorikan “Baik”. Hasil ini menunjukkan kurangnya memuaskannya literasi digital mahasiswa dalam elemen yang berhubungan dalam proses pembuatan konten dan penyebaran konten, yang membuat program studi perlu untuk menyisipkan kegiatan mengenai pembuatan konten dan penyebaran konten di mata kuliah maupun intervensi lainnya. ***** This research aims to describe the profile of each of the nine digital literacy elements proposed by Steve Wheeler among students of the Educational Technology program, class of 2022. This study is a quantitative-descriptive research using a survey research method with a cencus/total sampling technique. The results of the research show that the overall digital literacy condition among the population achieved a score of 76.89% or categorized as "Very Good." Specifically, the Social Networking element obtained a score of 80.52% or categorized as "Very Good." The Transliteracy element obtained a score of 80.75% or categorized as "Very Good." The Maintaining Privacy element achieved a score of 82.92% or categorized as "Very Good." The Managing Identity element obtained a score of 80.05% or categorized as "Very Good." The Creating Content element achieved a score of 70.19% or categorized as "Good." The Organizing and Sharing Content element obtained a score of 74.14% or categorized as "Good." The Reusing/Repurposing Content element achieved a score of 80.61% or categorized as "Very Good." The Filtering and Selecting Content element obtained a score of 78.33% or categorized as "Very Good." Lastly, the Self Broadcasting element achieved a score of 64.51% or categorized as "Good". These findings indicate the unsatisfactory level of digital literacy among students, especially in elements related to content creation and dissemination processes. This highlights the need for the program to incorporate activities regarding content creation and distribution in courses as well as other interventions.
