Abstract

Pada tingkat pendidikan tinggi, dibutuhkan sebuah kemampuan pemahaman membaca yang terampil. Berdasarkan observasi prapenelitian dengan dilakukan wawancara dan literature review diketahui bahwa kemampuan pemahaman membaca teks berbahasa Jepang mahasiswa masih perlu ditingkatkan. Maka, penelitian ini difokuskan pada pengembangan prototipe model pembelajaran membaca teks berbahasa jepang berbasis case-based teaching method dan flipped classroom, yang menghasilkan protitope baru, yang dikhususkan untuk pembelajaran membaca teks berbahasa Jepang guna membangun kompetensi membaca pemahaman mahasiswa. Langkah pengembangan prototipe model pembelajaran membaca teks berbahasa Jepang berbasis case-based teaching method dan flipped classroom dibagi menjadi tiga tahap, yaitu tahap pre class, during class, dan post class. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian mix method, data kuantitatif diperoleh dari score penilaian pakar, angket dan hasil tes sedangkan data kualitatif diperoleh dari observasi, wawancara, proses pengembangan model pembelajaran, penilaian pakar dan angket. Penelitian pengembangan ini dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ILDF (Integrated Learning Design Framework) dan dilaksanakan dari bulan Januari 2022 hingga desember 2022. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang FKIP UHAMKA. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 34 mahasiswa. Hasil kualitatif yang terdiri dari hasil validasi penilaian pakar, wawancara, observasi, dan angket terbuka dan hasil ujicoba kemudian dilakukan revisi, maka model pembelajaran ini layak untuk digunakan dan diterapkan di dalam perkuliahan. Hasil kuantitatif yang terdiri dari skor penilaian pakar, hasilangket, uji efektivitas, menunjukkan bahwa rerata (rata-rata) kelas ekperimen (Kelas B) lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol (Kelas A) yaitu x ̅_B=73,94>69,65= x ̅_A, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan model pembelajaran membaca teks berbahasa Jepang berbasis case-based teaching method dan flipped classroom efektif untuk digunakan dan diterapkan di dalam perkuliahan. ***** At the higher education level, skilled reading comprehension skills are required. Based on pre-research observations using interviews and literature reviews, it is known that students' reading comprehension skills in Japanese texts still need to be improved. Therefore, this research is focused on developing a prototype model for learning to read Japanese texts based on the case-based teaching method and flipped classroom, which produces a new prototype, specifically for learning to read Japanese texts in order to build students' reading comprehension competence. The steps for developing a prototype model for learning to read Japanese texts based on the case-based teaching method and flipped classroom are divided into three stages, namely the pre-class, during-class and post-class stages. This research is a mixed method research, quantitative data was obtained from expert assessment scores, questionnaires and test results, while qualitative data was obtained from observation, interviews, the process of developing learning models, expert assessments and questionnaires. This development research used the ILDF (Integrated Learning Design Framework) development model and was carried out from August 2022 to December 2022. The population of this research were students of the Japanese Language Education Study Program, FKIP UHAMKA. The research sample was 34 students. Qualitative results consisting of the results of validation of expert assessments, interviews, observations, and open questionnaires and the results of trials are then revised, so this learning model is suitable for use and application in lectures. Quantitative results consisting of expert assessment scores, questionnaire results, effectiveness tests, show that the mean (average) of the experimental class (Class B) is higher than the control class (Class A), namely x ̅_B=73.94>69.65= x ̅_A, so it can be concluded that the development of a learning model for reading Japanese texts based on the case-based teaching method and flipped classroom is effective for use and application in lectures.
