Abstract

*******ABSTRAK**** Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan analisis wacana kritis Teun A. Van Dijk mengenai tips cara menjadi alpha girl dalam buku “The Alpha Girl’s Guide” karya Henry Manampiring. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode dokumentasi dan wawancara. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah teks dalam buku “The Alpha Girl’s Guide” dan wawancara dengan Henry Manampiring. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan tiga unsur analisis wacana kritis Teun A. Van Dijk pada buku “The Alpha Girl’s Guide” karya Henry Manampiring. Pada unsur teks, terdapat upaya Henry Manampiring dalam membatasi pandangan dan tindakan pembaca. Pada unsur kognisi sosial, terdapat skema person, skema diri, skema peran, dan skema peristiwa yang menjadi model mental Henry Manampiring dalam menulis buku “The Alpha Girl’s Guide”. Pada praktik sosial, terdapat akses dan kekuasaan yang dimiliki oleh Henry Manampiring dalam upayanya untuk mengajak pembaca agar mengikuti tips-tips cara menjadi alpha girl dalam buku “The Alpha Girl’s Guide”. *******ABSTRACT*** This study aims to describe Teun A. Van Dijk's critical discourse analysis of tips on how to become an alpha girl in the book "The Alpha Girl's Guide" by Henry Manampiring. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique in this research uses documentation and interview methods. The data sources of this research are texts in the book "The Alpha Girl's Guide" and interviews with Henry Manampiring. The results of this study show three elements of Teun A. Van Dijk's critical discourse analysis on the book "The Alpha Girl's Guide" by Henry Manampiring. In the text element, there is Henry Manampiring's attempt to limit the views and actions of readers. In the social cognition element, there are person schema, self schema, role schema, and event schema that become Henry Manampiring's mental model in writing the book "The Alpha Girl's Guide". In social practice, there is access and power owned by Henry Manampiring in his efforts to invite readers to follow the tips on how to become an alpha girl in the book "The Alpha Girl's Guide".
