Abstract

ABSTRAK Perubahan penggunaan Kurikulum 2013 menjadi Kurikulum Merdeka memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap suasana proses pembelajaran di dalam kelas, dengan adanya inovasi tersebut suasana dalam proses, model, dan metode pembelajaran akan semakin efektif dan efisien. Kurikulum Merdeka adalah kurikulum pendidikan nasional yang terbaru hingga saat ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman mahasiswa Pendidikan Teknik Mesin terhadap implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka dan aspek apa yang perlu ditingkatkan. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah Mahasiswa Pendidikan Teknik Mesin UNJ angakatn 2020 yang berjumlah 50 mahasiswa. Penelitian ini adalah peneltian kuantitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode survey. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka yang memiliki tingkat pemahaman sangat tinggi sebanyak 8%, tinggi sebanyak 16%, cukup sebanyak 48%, rendah sebanyak 22% dan sangat rendah sebanyak 6%. Maka dapat disimpulkan pemahaman mahasiswa Pendidikan teknik Mesin terhadap implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka memiliki tingkat pemahaman yang cukup. Untuk penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa mengenai implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka. With this innovation, the atmosphere, models, and methods of learning are expected to become more effective and efficient. The Merdeka Curriculum represents the latest national education curriculum to date.This study aims to assess the level of understanding among Mechanical Engineering Education students regarding the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum and identify areas for improvement. The sample consists of 50 students from the 2020 intake of Mechanical Engineering Education at UNJ. This research employs a descriptive quantitative approach using a survey method. The research findings indicate that student understanding of the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum is as follows: very high understanding at 8%, high at 16%, moderate at 48%, low at 22%, and very low at 6%. Thus, it can be concluded that the understanding of Mechanical Engineering Education students regarding the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum is moderate. Future research is encouraged to enhance students understanding of the Merdeka Curriculum implementation and analyze the factors influencing their understanding of it.
