Abstract

******ABSTRAK******* Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui 1). hubungan antara mental toughness terhadap performa atlet pada kategori lead PPLPD panjat tebing Kota Tangerang. 2). hubungan antara competitive anxiety terhadap performa atlet pada kategori lead PPLPD panjat tebing Kota Tangerang. 3). hubungan antara mental toughness & competitive anxiety secara bersama-sama terhadap performa atlet pada kategori lead PPLPD panjat tebing Kota Tangerang. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah analisis korelasi dengan rancangan cross sectional survey design. Sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 17 orang dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Intrumen tes mental toughness menggunakan skala mental toughness yang disusun berdasarkan dimensi thrive though challenge, sport awareness, tough attitude, dan desire succes, sedangkan untuk tes competitive anxiety menggunakan skala competitive anxiety yang disusun berdasarkan aspek cognitive, motoric, affective, dan somatic dari Sport Anxiety Scale. Penilaian performa atlet menggunakan hasil penilaian juri. Teknik analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah menggunakan koefisien korelasi. Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa 1) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara mental toughness terhadap performa atlet pada kategori lead PPLPD panjat tebing Kota Tangerang, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,408. 2) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara competitive anxiety terhadap performa atlet pada kategori lead PPLPD panjat tebing Kota Tangerang, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar -0,279. 3) tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara mental toughness dan competitive anxiety terhadap performa atlet pada kategori lead PPLPD panjat tebing Kota Tangerang, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,462. Kata Kunci: Mental Toughness, Competitive Anxiety, Performa Atlet. ******ABSTRACT******** This study aims to find out 1). The relationship between mental toughness and athlete performance in the Tangerang City rock climbing PPLPD lead category. 2). the relationship between competitive anxiety and athlete performance in the PPLPD lead category of rock climbing in Tangerang City. 3). The relationship between mental toughness and competitive anxiety together on the performance of athletes in the PPLPD lead category of rock climbing in Tangerang City. This type of research is a correlation analysis with a cros sectional survey design. The sample used was 17 people with sampling using the purposive sampling technique. The mental toughness test instrument uses a mental toughness scale which is arranged based on the dimensions of thrive though challenge, sport awareness, tough attitude, and desire succes, while the competitive anxiety test uses a competitive anxiety scale which is arranged based on cognitive, motoric, affective, and somatic aspects of the Sport Anxiety Scale. The assessment of athletes' performance uses the results of the jury's assessment. The statistical analysis technique used is using correlation coefficients. The results of the data analysis showed that 1) there was a significant relationship between mental toughness and athlete performance in the Tangerang City rock climbing PPLPD lead category, with a correlation coefficient value of 0.408. 2) there was a significant relationship between competitive anxiety and athlete performance in the Tangerang City rock climbing PPLPD lead category, with a correlation coefficient value of -0.279. 3) there was no significant relationship between mental toughness and competitive anxiety on athlete performance in the lead category of PPLPD rock climbing in Tangerang City, with a correlation coefficient value of 0.462.
