Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan eksplanasi pengungkapan diri remaja kekerasan verbal orang tua dan dampak setelah pengungkapan diri. Indorman subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 2 informan utama yaitu 1 siswa perempuan kelas 12 dan 1 siswa laki-laki kelas 11. Pemilihan informan didasarkan kepada kriteria (1) remaja pertengahan kisaran umur 15-18 tahun yang orang tuanya melakukan kekerasan verbal; (2) remaja tersebut tinggal bersama kedua orang tuanya; (3) remaja yang menjadi korban kekerasan verbal dengan frekuensi yang sedang (satu minggu, satu kali); (4) telah melakukan pengungkapan diri mengenai kekerasan verbal kepada orang terdekat, menggunakan metode studi fenomenologi dengan teknik analisis data Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua informan belum memahami kekerasan yang dialami dan menganggapnya sebagai bentuk didikan orang tua, setelah remaja keduanya merasa ketakutan akan prasangka orang lain sehingga menyembunyikan masalahnya. Perbedaan antara keduanya yaitu dampak psikologis pada informan perempuan yang masih mengalami trauma, sedangkan informan laki-laki sudah berdamai dengan masalahnya. Oleh karena itu, guru BK di sekolah bisa memberikan layanan konseling individu terhadap korban kekerasan verbal orang tua serta memberikan layanan bimbingan klasikal dengan menggunakan materi terkait kekerasan verbal. Kata Kunci: Pengungkapan Diri, Remaja, Kekerasan Verbal This research aims to provide an explanation of adolescents' self-disclosure of parental verbal violence and the impact after self-disclosure. The dormant subjects in this research were grade 2 students, the main informants, namely 1 female student in grade 12 and 1 male student in grade 11. The selection of informants was based on the criteria (1) middle adolescents aged 15-18 years whose parents committed verbal violence; (2) the teenager lives with his parents; (3) adolescents who are victims of verbal violence with moderate frequency (one week, once); (4) has self-disclosed about verbal violence to people closest to him, using the phenomenological study method with the data analysis technique Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis. The results of the research showed that the two informants did not understand the violence they experienced and considered it a form of parental upbringing. After becoming teenagers, both of them felt afraid of other people's prejudice, so they hid their problems. The difference between the two is the psychological impact on female informants who are still experiencing trauma, while male informants have made peace with their problems. Therefore, guidance and counseling teachers at schools can provide individual counseling services for victims of parental verbal violence as well as provide classical guidance services using material related to verbal violence.
