Abstract

Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah (MBS) merupakan suatu bentuk reformasi yang telah direncanakan atau dipersiapkan oleh pemerintah dengan tujuan meningkatkan kesetaraan dalam bidang pendidikan di Indonesia. Keterlibatan aktif kepala sekolah dan para pendidik dalam pengambilan keputusan tidak hanya memacu tingginya rasa kepemilikan, tetapi juga mendorong optimalisasi penggunaan sumber daya untuk mencapai hasil terbaik. Untuk mengetahui penerapan MBS dalam pemberdayaan guru di lapangan, peneliti mengambil salah satu sekolah yang telah menjalankan program MBS. Sekolah yang diambil sebagai tempat penelitian mengenai penerapan MBS dalam pemberdayaan guru adalah SMAN 12 Kota Tangerang Selatan. Sehingga, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pemberdayaan guru yang dilakukan dalam penerapan manajemen berbasis sekolah di SMAN 12 Kota Tangerang Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan melalui hasil wawancara yang mendalam dengan key informan dan beberapa informan pendukung lainnya. Data ini akan diperoleh melalui wawancara, pengamatan dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa Penerapan Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah (MBS) di SMA Negeri 12 Tangerang Selatan adalah efektif karena hasil yang diperoleh dari penerapan MBS dapat mendukung pencapaian visi dan misi sekolah. Program pendidikan dan pelatihan dalam pemberdayaan guru di SMA Negeri 12 Tangerang Selatan terlaksana dengan baik mulai dari manajemen kurikulum, potensi guru dalam pembelajaran, serta urusan sarana dan prasarana. Partisipasi guru dalam pemberdayaan guru di SMA Negeri 12 Tangerang Selatan berjalan optimal. Guru juga aktif dalam menjalankan program sekolah. ***** School-Based Management (SBM) is a form of reform planned or prepared by the government with the aim of improving equity in education in Indonesia. The active involvement of principals and educators in decision-making not only fosters a high sense of ownership but also encourages the optimal use of resources to achieve the best results. To understand the implementation of SBM in empowering teachers in the field, researchers selected a school that has implemented the SBM program. The school chosen as the research site for the implementation of SBM in teacher empowerment is SMAN 12 Kota Tangerang Selatan. Therefore, this study aims to describe the empowerment of teachers carried out in the implementation of school based management at SMAN 12 Kota Tangerang Selatan. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with key informants and several supporting informants. The data was obtained through interviews, observations, and document studies. The results of indicate that the implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) at SMAN 12 Kota Tangerang Selatan is effective because the outcomes of SBM implementation support the achievement of the school’s vision and mission. The education and training programs for teacher empowerment at SMAN 12 Kota Tangerang Selatan have been well executed, including curriculum management, teacher potential in teaching, and facilities and infrastructure affairs. Teacher participation in empowerment at SMAN 12 Kota Tangerang Selatan is optimal. Teachers are also active in running school programs.
