Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) Mengetahui faktor penyebab anak di Kampung Pemulung Pondok Kopi Jakarta Timur putus sekolah; (2) Mengetahui strategi PKBM Nara Kreatif dalam penanganan anak putus sekolah di Kampung Pemulung Pondok Kopi Jakarta Timur. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan studi kepustakaan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah Kepala Sekolah serta Tim pengurus PKBM Nara Kreatif, pengajar Sekolah Anak Percaya, serta anak putus sekolah di Kampung Pemulung Pondok Kopi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Berdasarkan penelitian, faktor penyebab anak putus sekolah di Kampung Pemulung Pondok Kopi Jakarta Timur disebabkan karena faktor ekonomi, hilangnya motivasi belajar, kurangnya perhatian orang tua, faktor budaya, perundungan, serta membantu orang tua bekerja; (2) Dalam menangani anak putus sekolah di Kampung Pemulung Pondok Kopi, Jakarta Timur, PKBM Nara Kreatif menggunakan strategi pemberdayaan dengan pendekatan pendidikan yang dirumuskan dengan adanya Program Sekolah Anak Percaya, serta pendekatan pelatihan melalui Program Siap Kerja dan pelatihan kreativitas. Kata Kunci: Strategi, PKBM, Anak Putus Sekolah. This research aims to: (1) Find out the factors that cause children in Pondok Kopi Scavenger Village, East Jakarta, to drop out of school; (2) Knowing PKBM Nara Kreatif strategy in handling out-of-school children in the Pondok Kopi Scavenger Village, East Jakarta. The method used in this research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, documentation and literature study. The subjects in this research were the school principal and the PKBM Nara Kreative management team, teachers at the Belief Children's School, as well as out-of-school children in Pondok Kopi Scavenger Village. The results of this research show that: (1) Based on research, the factors causing children to drop out of school in the Pondok Kopi Pemulung Village, East Jakarta are due to economic factors, loss of motivation to study, lack of parental attention, cultural factors, bullying, and helping parents work; (2) In dealing with out-of-school children in Pondok Kopi Pemulung Village, East Jakarta, PKBM Nara Kreative uses an empowerment strategy with an educational approach formulated through the Trusted Children's School Program, as well as a training approach through the Ready to Work Program and creativity training.
