Abstract

Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (RnD), dengan menggabungkan tiga model pengembangan, yaitu model Borg & Gall sebagai payungnya dikombinasi dengan model Jolly & Bolitho pada bagian pengembangan bahan ajar dan model Dick & Carey pada pengembangan prosedur pembelajaran. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah 262 lembaga PAUD yang ada di Kabupaten Badung-Bali. Penelitian ini melibatkan 12 orang pakar ahli pada uji kelayakan, yang masing-masing terdiri dari 3 orang ahli materi, ahli bahan ajar, ahli desain pembelajaran, dan ahli bahasa Bali. Pada uji efektivitas, sampel penelitian melibatkan 196 orang anak yang terbagi menjadi 41 orang anak pada uji coba terbatas, 53 orang anak pada uji coba skala besar, dan 102 anak pada uji lapangan operasional, serta melibatkan 8 orang guru selaku pengguna bahan ajar. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu lembar kuesioner untuk uji kelayakan oleh ahli dan instrumen pengamatan kemampuan berbicara bahasa Bali untuk uji efektivitas. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan teknik kuantitatif dan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) berdasarkan kondisi faktual di lapangan, diketahui bahwa guru membutuhkan bahan ajar inovatif yang dapat digunakan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berbicara bahasa Bali anak usai dini; 2) rancang bangun pengembangan multimedia interaktif menggunakan model Borg & Gall yang dikombinasi dengan model pengembangan bahan ajar Jolly & Bolitho dan model pengembangan prosedur pembelajaran Dick and Carey yang terdiri dari 10 tahapan; 3) Multimedia interaktif layak untuk diterapkan dalam pengembangan kemampuan berbicara bahasa Bali anak usia dini; 4) Multimedia interaktif efektif digunakan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berbicara bahasa Bali anak usia dini. Dengan adanya bahan ajar yang inovatif, maka strategi pengembangan kemampuan berbicara bahasa Bali anak semakin bervariasi dan berdampak pada kemampuan anak berkomunikasi dengan lingkungan terdekatnya. Through speaking, children can communicate and interact with their environment. The aim of this research is to develop young children's Balinese speaking skills with the help of teaching materials in the form of interactive multimedia. The research method used is Research and Development (RnD), by combining three development models, namely the Borg & Gall model as the umbrella combined with the Jolly & Bolitho model in the development of teaching materials and the Dick & Carey model in the development of learning procedures. The population in this study was 262 PAUD institutions in Badung-Bali Regency. This research involved 12 experts in the feasibility test, each consisting of 3 material experts, teaching material experts, instructional design experts, and Balinese language experts. For the effectiveness test, the research sample involved 196 children divided into 41 children in a limited trial, 53 children in a large-scale trial, and 102 children in an operational field test, as well as involving 8 teachers as users of the teaching materials. For the research instruments, questionnaires were used for the feasibility test by experts, while observation sheets were utilized to evaluate the effectiveness of Balinese speaking skills. The research data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative descriptive techniques. The research results show that: 1) based on factual conditions in the field, it was found that teachers need innovative teaching materials that can be used to develop Balinese speaking skills in young children; 2) the design of interactive multimedia development uses the Borg & Gall model combined with the Jolly & Bolitho teaching material development model and Dick and Carey learning development model, which consists of 10 stages; 3) interactive multimedia is feasible to be applied in the development of Balinese speaking skills in young children; 4) interactive multimedia is effective in developing Balinese speaking skills in young children. The introduction of innovative instructional materials leads to more varied strategies for developing Balinese speaking skills in children, consequently improving their ability to communicate within their immediate environment.
