Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media in the form of e-books for housekeeping subjects on public area section material and determine the feasibility of e-book learning media for housekeeping subjects on public area section material developed in terms of material, appearance, and operation based on expert assessment. The research method used is Research and Development with reference to the ADDIE development model. This research was conducted from July 2023 to January 2024 at SMKN 37 Jakarta. The research was conducted by creating an e�book learning media and testing the feasibility of the product to measure attitudes, views, and perceptions. The object of this research is class XI students from the hospitality accommodation department at SMKN 37 Jakarta. The results showed that the feasibility test of the learning media obtained percentage results of 91.42% and 94.28% by media experts, 92% very feasible category, and the results of the feasibility test on students obtained a percentage of 90.66% for the 1 to 1 test, small group test obtained a percentage of 87.4%, and field test obtained a percentage of 85.125% with a very feasible category. The effectiveness test obtained the result of t count of -7,675 and p-value of 0.000 which shows that there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest values, so it can be stated that the e�book developed is effective in learning. Therefore, e-book learning media can be a variation used by teachers in the form of learning media and applied to housekeeping subjects at SMKN 37 Jakarta, so that e-books can be used by anyone and are not focused on class XI students of the Hospitality Accommodation Department at SMKN 37 Jakarta.
