Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki hubungan pemahaman materi Kebhinekaan Indonesia dengan sikap toleransi siswa pada siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 252 Jakarta pada tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Februari – Mei 2024. Penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional, sampel penelitian terdiri dari 165 siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik simple random sampling dari total populasi 288 siswa. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari tes pilihan ganda untuk mengukur pemahaman materi Kebhinekaan Indonesia dan angket yang mencakup kategori selalu, sering, jarang, dan tidak pernah untuk mengukur sikap toleransi siswa yang seluruhnya diberikan melalui formulir google. Instrumen penelitian kemudian diuji, menghasilkan 25 pertanyaan yang valid untuk variabel X dan 32 untuk variabel Y dan dapat reliabel. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan positif antara pemahaman materi Kebhinkaan Indonesia dengan sikap toleransi siswa. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan uji persyaratan analisis yang digunakan berupa uji normalitas memperoleh nilai signifikansi (0,200 > 0,05) dan uji linearitas kedua variabel memperoleh nilai signifikansi (0,052 > 0,05). Hal tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel X dan variabel Y bersifat normal dan linear. Selanjutnya uji hipotesis menggunakan korelasi product moment dengan memperoleh nilai korelasi pearson sebesar 0,992 yang menunjukkan bahwa variabel X dan variabel Y memiliki hubungan yang kuat, serta uji regresi linear sederhana yang memperoleh korelasi determinasi sebesar 98,4% yang menunjukkan bahwa variabel X dengan variabel Y berkontribusi sebesar 98,4%. This research was conducted in February - May 2024. Quantitative research with correlational methods, the research sample consisted of 165 students selected by simple random sampling technique from a total population of 288 students. The research instrument consisted of a multiple choice test to measure the understanding of Indonesian Diversity material and a questionnaire that included categories of always, often, rarely, and never to measure students' tolerance attitudes, all of which were given via google form. The research instruments were then tested, resulting in 25 valid questions for variable X and 32 for variable Y and were reliable. The conclusion of this study is that there is a positive relationship between the understanding of Indonesian Kebhinkaan material and students' tolerance attitude. This is evidenced by the analysis requirements test used in the form of normality test obtaining a significance value (0.200> 0.05) and linearity test of both variables obtaining a significance value (0.052> 0.05). It can be concluded that variable X and variable Y are normal and linear. Furthermore, the hypothesis test uses product moment correlation by obtaining a Pearson correlation value of 0.992 which indicates that variable X and variable Y have a strong relationship, as well as a simple linear regression test which obtained a correlation of determination of 98.4% which indicates that variable X with variable Y contributed 98.4%.
