Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperolah data mengenai peran dari Yayasan Kusuma Buana dalam melakukan pendampingan PSK di Lokalisasi Kramat Tunggak tahun 1991-1999. Penelitian ini berusaha menjabarkan mengenai Lokalisasi Kramat Tunggak, masalah yang dihadapi PSK di Lokalisasi Kramat Tunggak, peran Yayasan Kusuma Buana yang andil dalam melakukan pendampingan Pekerja Seks Komersial disana, hambatan yang didapat selama proses pendampingan serta hasil daripada pendampingan PSK disana. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian historis dengan teknik penulisan deskriptif naratif untuk menjabarkan Peran dari Yayasan Kusuma Buana dalam melakukan pendampingan PSK di Lokalisasi Kramat Tunggak tahun 1991-1999 melalui lima tahap yaitu pemilihan topik, pengumpulan sumber,verifikasi,interpretasi,dan historiografi. Sumber yang digunakan adalah sumber primer dan sumber sekunder. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penyelesaian masalah prostitusi yang terjadi di Ibukota Jakarta melibatkan peran pemerintah dan masyarakat. Prostitusi yang semakin merebak, membuat pemerintah memiliki ide untuk mendirikan lokalisasi. Tujuan pemerintah membuat lokalisasi adalah untuk menertibkan pekerja seks yang biasanya berkeliaran di tempat umum. Dalam praktek ini tentunya tidak terlepas dari berbagai masalah yang ada. Masalah yang dihadapi PSK terdapat masalah kekerasan baik secara fisik dan psikis, adanya stigma negatif dari masyarakat yang berpikir PSK merupakan sarang penularan penyakit kelamin sehingga membuat PSK menjadi terpinggirkan di lingkungan masyarakat, dan masalah kesehatan yang dihadapi PSK seperti masalah kesehatan reproduksi. Dalam hal ini diperlukanlah kerja sama antar masyarakat, salah satunya organisasi sosial. Peran yang dilakukan oleh Yayasan Kusuma Buana adalah Community Empowerment dan Self Esteem. Pendampingan yang dilakukan YKB dalam bentuk memberdayakan PSK agar dapat menangani masalah-masalah yang ada dan meningkatkan rasa percaya diri terlepas dari apapun kondisi yang dialami PSK. YKB mengharuskan keberlanjutan dalam program yang diberi ke penerima manfaat. Hasil daripada pendampingan ini adalah berdirinya Yayasan BandungWangi yang berasal dari PSK dan untuk PSK pada tahun 1999. ***** This research aims to obtain data regarding the role of the Kusuma Buana Foundation in assisting Commercial Sex Workers in the Kramat Tunggak Localization in 1991-1999. This research attempts to explain the Kramat Tunggak Localization, the problems faced by Commercial Sex Workers in the Kramat Tunggak Localization, the role of the Kusuma Buana Foundation which plays a role in assisting Commercial Sex Workers there, the obstacles encountered during the mentoring process and the results of mentoring Commercial Sex Workers there.This research uses historical research methods with narrative descriptive writing techniques to describe the role of the Kusuma Buana Foundation in assisting Commercial Sex Workers in the Kramat Tunggak Localization in 1991-1999 through five stages, namely topic selection, source collection, verification, interpretation and historiography. The sources used are primary sources and secondary sources.The results of this study indicate that solving the problem of prostitution in the capital city of Jakarta involves the participation of the government and the community. The increasing prevalence of prostitution has led the government to have the idea of establishing a localization. The government's goal in establishing a localization is to regulate sex workers who usually roam in public places. In its implementation, this is certainly inseparable from various existing problems. The problems faced by Commercial Sex Workers include physical and psychological violence, negative stigma from the community who consider Commercial Sex Workers to be a hotbed of sexually transmitted diseases, which makes Commercial Sex Workers marginalized in society, and health problems faced by Commercial Sex Workers such as reproductive health problems. In this case, cooperation between communities is needed, one of which is a social organization. The role played by the Kusuma Buana Foundation is Community Empowerment and Self�Esteem. The assistance provided by the Kusuma Buana Foundation is in the form of empowering Commercial Sex Workers so that they are able to handle existing problems and increase self-confidence regardless of the conditions experienced by Commercial Sex Workers. The Kusuma Buana Foundation requires sustainability in the programs provided to beneficiaries. The result of this assistance was the establishment of the BandungWangi Foundation which started from Commercial Sex Workers and for Commercial Sex Workers in 1999.
