Abstract

Penelitian mengenai Pemikiran Pendidikan Islam K.H. Ahmad Dahlan (1912-1923) ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan dan mengetahui bagaimana latar belakang serta konsep pemikiran pendidikan K.H. Ahmad Dahlan dalam perspektif Islam. Pemikiran ini terbentuk karena adanya dikotomi antara sistem pendidikan Barat (sekular) dan sistem pendidikan Islam tradisional. Melihat permasalahan tersebut, Dahlan membuat konsep baru dalam dunia pendidikan yang dimana beliau menggabungkan dua sistem pendidikan tersebut menjadi satu sistem. Maka dengan adanya sistem pendidikan baru tersebut beliau mendirikan sebuah organisasi, yaitu organisasi Muhammadiyah yang terbentuk pada 18 November 1912 di Yogyakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam Karya Ilmiah ini adalah penulisan sejarah dalam bentuk deskriptif-naratif. Sumber yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa sumber sekunder, berupa buku-buku yang berkaitan dengan pemikiran K.H. Ahmad Dahlan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kajian pustaka. Sumber data diperoleh dari buku-buku yang didapatkan di Perpustakaan Nasional Republik Indonesia (PNRI), Perpustakaan Daerah DKI Jakarta, Perpustakaan Universitas Negeri Jakarta, dan Perpustakaan Universitas Indonesia, serta buku-buku relevan lainnya yang peneliti peroleh. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa perbedaan sistem pendidikan yang terjadi di masa kolonial Belanda sebenarnya bisa disatukan dengan keberanian, keteguhan, keikhlasan, kecerdasan, dan dukungan moral serta material. Research on Islamic Education Thoughts of K.H. Ahmad Dahlan (1912-1923) aims to explain the background and concept of education thoughts which declared by K.H. Ahmad Dahlan in an Islamic perspective. These thoughts was formed due to the dichotomy between the Western (secular) educational system and the traditional Islamic educational system. Based on these problems, Dahlan made a new concept of educational system where he combined the both systems. According to the new educational system, he founded an organization named Muhammadiyah which was formed on November 18th, 1912 in Yogyakarta. The research method used in this scientific work is writing history in a descriptive-narrative form. The sources used in this study are secondary sources, specifically the books relate to K.H Ahmad Dahlan's thoughts. Data collection technique used in this scientific work is literature study. Data sources were obtained from books which are available at the National Library of Indonesian Republic (PNRI), Regional Library of DKI Jakarta, Library of State University of Jakarta, and Library of University of Indonesia, as well as other relevant books that obtained. The results of this study explain that the differences in the educational system that occurred in the Dutch colonial period substantively could be combined with courage, determination, sincerity, intelligence, material and moral support.
