Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh green movement terhadap environmental awareness pada mahasiswa Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan April sampai dengan bulan Juli 2024. Sampel dalam penelitian ini dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling dan melibatkan 366 mahasiswa. Data diperoleh menggunakan kuesioner. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur environmental awareness terdiri atas 29 butir pernyataan berdasarkan dimensi concious consumption, waste and recycling, environmental, dan energy saving. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur green movement terdiri atas 28 pernyatan berdasarkan dimensi actual commitment, verbal commitment, affect, dan knowledge. Data diolah dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistika deskriptif dan statistika inferensial, yaitu uji regresi linear sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil persamaan regresi dapat diketahui bahwa jika variabel green movement dinaikkan satu satuan, maka variabel environmental awareness akan mengalami kenaikan sebesar 0,564 pada konstanta 42,216. Hasil penelitian koefisien determinasi menunjukkan nilai R Square = 0,287 artinya 28,7% variabilitas variabel environmental awareness dapat dijelaskan oleh variabel green movement, sedangkan 71,3% variabilitas environmental awareness berkontribusi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti pada penelitian ini. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi green movement maka semakin tinggi environmental awareness. This research was conducted from April to July 2024. The sample in this study was selected using purposive sampling technique and involved 366 students. Data were obtained using a questionnaire. The instrument used to measure environmental awareness consists of 29 statement items based on the dimensions of conscious consumption, waste and recycling, environmental, and energy saving. The instrument used to measure green movement consists of 28 statements based on the dimensions of actual commitment, verbal commitment, affect, and knowledge. The data were processed and analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, namely the simple linear regression test. Based on the results of the regression equation, it can be seen that if the green movement variable is increased by one unit, the environmental awareness variable will increase by 0.564 at a constant 42.216. The research results of the coefficient of determination show the value of R Square = 0.287, meaning that 28.7% of the variability of the environmental awareness variable can be explained by the green movement variable, while 71.3% of the variability of environmental awareness is contributed by other variables not examined in this study. These results indicate that the higher the green movement, the higher the environmental awareness. Keywords: environmental awareness, green movement, environmental knowledge
