Abstract

***** This study aims to determine the influence of self-compassion and perceived social support on resilience in early adult female victims of dating violence. This research approach uses a correlational quantitative approach with a sample of women aged 18-40 years who have experienced dating violence and have broken up from violent relationships. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a sample size of 118 respondents. The measuring instruments used in this study are the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) to measure resilience, the Self-Compassion Scale to measure self-compassion, and the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) to measure perceived social support. The analytical test conducted in this study is multiple linear regression analysis test. The results of this study indicate that there is a simultaneous influence of self-compassion and perceived social support on resilience in early adult female victims of dating violence. When examined further, perceived social support has a greater influence than self-compassion on resilience. In addition, both self-compassion and perceived social support partially influence resilience in early adult female victims of dating violence.
