Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji Fenomena Permainan Judi Slot Online di Kalangan Mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Perkembangan teknologi informasi memfasilitasi akses yang mudah dan fleksibel terhadap judi slot online, menjadikannya populer di kalangan mahasiswa, tidak terkecuali mahasiswa di Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Mahasiswa tertarik bermain judi slot online karena beberapa faktor seperti tekanan akademik, kebutuhan finansial, dan kemudahan akses. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk, aspek dan dampak dari fenomena permainan judi slot online di kalangan mahasiswa UNJ, serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor penyebabnya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun dilarang oleh kode etik universitas, banyak mahasiswa tetap terlibat dalam judi slot online. Dampak negatif yang dialami mahasiswa meliputi masalah keuangan, penurunan prestasi akademik, dan gangguan hubungan sosial. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi teoretis dan praktis dalam memahami perilaku perjudian di kalangan mahasiswa serta meningkatkan kesadaran akan risiko yang terkait. ***** This research examines the phenomenon of online slot gambling games among students at Jakarta State University. The development of information technology facilitates easy and flexible access to online slot gambling, making it popular among students, including students at Jakarta State University. Students are interested in playing online slot gambling due to several factors such as academic pressure, financial needs, and ease of access. This research aims to describe the forms, aspects and impacts of the online slot gambling game phenomenon among UNJ students, as well as identifying the causal factors. The research method used is a qualitative method. The research results show that even though it is prohibited by the university's code of ethics, many students are still involved in online slot gambling. Negative impacts experienced by students include financial problems, decreased academic achievement, and disruption of social relationships. It is hoped that this research will provide theoretical and practical contributions in understanding gambling behavior among university students and increase awareness of the associated risks.
