Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh virtual reality laboratory terhadap disposisi berpikir kreatif (DBK) peserta didik kelas XI pada topik laju reaksi. Dalam penelitian quasi-eksperimen ini, desain yang digunakan adalah pre-test/post-test non-equivalent control group design. Sebanyak 86 peserta didik (laki-laki = 36; perempuan = 50) SMA Negeri 5 Depok dipilih menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini. Pengelompokan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dilakukan pemilihan sampel secara acak dengan metode flipping coin. DBK peserta didik diperoleh dari kuesioner DBK yang diadaptasi dan dimodifikasi dari Marmara Creative Thinking Dispositions Scale. Kuesioner yang digunakan berisikan 25 pernyataan, diantaranya domain disiplin diri, pencarian inovasi, keberanian, rasa ingin tahu, keraguan dan fleksibilitas. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t (paired sample t-test dan independent sample t-test) dan Cohen’s d. Berdasarkan hasil uji-t menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol serta adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada disposisi berpikir kreatif. Selain itu, pada kelas eksperimen effect size yang dihasilkan sangat tinggi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif VR laboratory terhadap DBK. Dengan kata lain, VR laboratory efektif dalam meningkatkan DBK peserta didik pada topik laju reaksi. Berdasarkan temuan ini, guru disarankan untuk menerapkan penggunaan VR laboratory guna meningkatkan DBK peserta didik pada topik laju reaksi dan kimia lainnya. ***** This research aims to determine the effect of the virtual reality laboratory on the creative thinking disposition (CTD) of 11th grade students on the topic of reaction rate. In this quasi-experimental research, the design used was a pre-test/post-test non-equivalent control group design. Eighty-six students (male = 36; female = 50) of SMA Negeri 5 Depok were selected as samples in this study. Sample selection was carried out randomly using the flipping coin method. The CTD questionnaire used was adapted and modified from the Marmara Creative Thinking Dispositions Scale containing 25 statements. The data analysis technique uses t-test (paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test) and Cohen’s d. Based on the results of the t-test, it shows that there is a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class as well as a significant increase in the creative thinking disposition. The experimental class has a very high effect size. It can be concluded that the VR laboratory has a positive influence on CTD and is effective in increasing students’ CTD in reaction rate. Based on these findings, teachers are recommended to implement the use of VR laboratories to increase students’ CTD on other chemistry topics.
