Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan internet, financial behaviour, dan financial literacy terhadap keputusan investasi di kalangan mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada meningkatnya penggunaan internet sebagai sumber informasi investasi serta pentingnya financial literacy dalam pengambilan keputusan investasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Dalam penelitian ini kerangka teori didasarkan pada Attribution Theory dan Theory of Planned Behaviour. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang disebarkan secara langsung dan online. Sampel diambil dengan teknik convenience sampling dari populasi mahasiswa pengguna platform investasi digital dengan rentang usia 20-35 tahun. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan software SmartPLS 4 dengan metode Partial Least Squares (PLS). Pengujian model pengukuran (Outer Model) dilakukan untuk menguji validitas dan reliabilitas, serta multikolinearitas menggunakan Variance Inflation Factor (VIF). Validitas diuji dengan menggunakan kriteria validitas konvergen dan diskriminan, sementara reliabilitas diuji dengan Cronbach's Alpha dan Composite Reliability. Untuk analisis model struktural (Inner Model), digunakan koefisien determinasi (R Square) dan ukuran efek (Effect Size, F Square). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan internet, financial behaviour, dan financial literacy memiliki pengaruh terhadap keputusan investasi. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam memahami faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan investasi di kalangan mahasiswa, serta bagaimana internet dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai alat untuk meningkatkan financial literacy dan keputusan investasi yang lebih baik. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan edukasi mengenai literasi keuangan dan penggunaan internet sebagai sumber informasi investasi yang akurat. Institusi pendidikan dan penyedia layanan investasi digital perlu bekerja sama dalam menyediakan sumber daya pendidikan yang dapat membantu mahasiswa meningkatkan keterampilan dan pengetahuan mereka tentang investasi. ***** This study aims to analyse the influence of internet usage, financial behaviour, and financial literacy on investment decisions among students of the Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. This research is based on the increasing use of the internet as a source of investment information and the importance of financial literacy in making investment decisions. This research uses a quantitative approach. In this study, the theoretical framework is based on Attribution Theory and Theory of Planned Behaviour. The data collection method uses questionnaires distributed directly and online. The sample was taken using convenience sampling technique from the population of student users of digital investment platforms with an age range of 20-35 years. Data analysis was carried out using SmartPLS 4 software with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method. Measurement model testing (Outer Model) is carried out to test validity and reliability, as well as multicollinearity using the Variance Inflation Factor (VIF). Validity was tested using convergent and discriminant validity criteria, while reliability was tested with Cronbach's Alpha and Composite Reliability. For structural model analysis (Inner Model), the coefficient of determination (R Square) and effect size (Effect Size, F Square) were used. The results showed that internet usage, financial behaviour, and financial literacy have an influence on investment decisions. This study makes an important contribution in understanding the factors that influence investment decisions among university students, as well as how the internet can be utilised as a tool to improve financial literacy and better investment decisions. Recommendations from this study are to increase education on financial literacy and the use of the internet as a source of accurate investment information. Educational institutions and digital investment service providers need to work together to provide educational resources that can help students improve their investment skills and knowledge.
