Abstract

*****ABSTRAK***** Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana karakter utama melawan pelecehan seksual dan ketidaksetaraan gender di tempat kerja, yang mewakili pemberdayaan perempuan dalam film Bombshell. Metode deskriptif kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebagai pendekatan penelitian kualitatif karena hasil analisis berupa gambaran dari fenomena tertentu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pemikiran “The Feminine Mystique” oleh Betty Friedan. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa Megyn, Gretchen, dan karakter perempuan lainnya mengalami diskriminasi gender, yang mengarah pada pelecehan seksual dan ketidaksetaraan gender. Akibatnya, melalui masalah yang dihadapi oleh perempuan di Fox News, karakter utama mengambil inisiatif untuk memperjuangkan hak dan keadilan mereka dengan cara mereka sendiri. (*****) *****ABSTRACT***** This study aims to analyze how the main characters fight against sexual harassment and gender inequality in the workplace, representing women’s empowerment in Bombshell Movie. A descriptive qualitative method is used in this study as a qualitative research approach because the results of the analysis are in the form of a depiction of a particular phenomenon. This study employs “The Feminine Mystique” by Betty Friedan. The findings showed that Megyn, Gretchen, and other Women characters experienced gender discrimination, leading to sexual harassment and gender inequality. Consequently, through the issues faced by women at Fox News, the main characters take initiative to fight for their rights and justice in their own way.
