Abstract

*****ABSTRAK***** Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tipe, pola, dan faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya perbaikan dalam percakapan pada dua acara bincang yang berbeda yang di ambil dari video YouTube SEA TODAY News. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk menganalisis persamaan dan perbedaan dari tipe, pola, dan faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya perbaikan dalam percakapan pada kedua acara bincang tersebut. Judul dari kedua acara bincang tersebut adalah Talk Show with Dr. Alfonsus Laksiditalia Nugroho: Monkeypox Prevention and Treatment dan Talk Show with Siti Nadia Tarmizi: Monkeypox Virus Causes, Symptoms, Treatment. Dalam menganalisis, penulis menggunakan teori milik Schegloff (1977) untuk menganalisis tipe-tipe perbaikan dalam percakapan yang ada dalam kedua acara bincang, teori milik Zhang (1998) dan Tang (2011) untuk menganalisis pola-pola perbaikan dalam percakapan, dan teori milik Clark & Clark (1977) untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya perbaikan dalam percakapan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 70 data perbaikan dalam percakapan pada acara bincang bersama Dr. Alfonsus dan 86 data perbaikan dalam percakapan pada acara bincang bersama Siti Nadia. Ditemukan 4 tipe perbaikan dalam kedua talk show tersebut. Untuk pola perbaikan, ditemukan hanya 10 pola perbaikan dalam acara bincang bersama Dr. Alfonsus and 9 pola perbaikan dalam acara bincang bersama Siti Nadia. Untuk faktor perbaikan, 2 dari 3 faktor yang dikemukakan oleh Clark & Clark ditemukan dalam kedua talk show tersebut. Persamaan dari kedua acara bincang tersebut adalah; keduanya sering menggunakan tipe perbaikan yang sama, yaitu Self-Initiated Self-Repair, sering menggunakan pola perbaikan yang sama, yaitu pola completion, dan sering menggunakan faktor perbaikan yang sama, yaitu cognitive difficulty. Untuk perbedaanya, acara bincang bersama Siti Nadia memperoleh data lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan Dr. Alfonsus meski durasinya lebih singkat. Perbedaan kedua, pada acara bincang bersama Dr. Alfonsus, Dr. Alfonsus lah yang sering melakukan perbaikan. Sedangkan dalam bincang bersama Siti Nadia, para pembawa acara yang kerap melakukan perbaikan. Selain itu, acara bincang bersama Dr. Alfonsus menggunakan pola exemplification, sementara acara bincang bersama Siti Nadia tidak. ***** *****ABSTRAK***** This study aims to analyze the types, patterns, and factors that initiate repair in conversations on two different talk shows taken from SEA TODAY News YouTube videos. Apart from that, this study also aims to analyze the similarities and differences in the types, patterns, and factors that initiate repairs in conversations on the two talk shows. The titles of the two talk shows are Talk Show with Dr. Alfonsus Laksiditalia Nugroho: Monkeypox Prevention and Treatment and Talk Show with Siti Nadia Tarmizi: Monkeypox Virus Causes, Symptoms, Treatment. The writer uses Schegloff's theory (1977) to analyze the types of repairs in conversations that exist in the two talk shows, Zhang's (1998) and Tang's (2011) theory to analyze patterns of repair in conversations, and Clark & Clark's theory (1977) to analyze the factors that initiate repairs in conversation. The results of this study indicate that there are 70 data of repairs in conversations on talk shows with Dr. Alfonsus and 86 data of repairs in a conversation on a talk show with Siti Nadia. There are 4 types of repair were found in the two talk shows. As for the repair patterns, only 10 patterns were found in the talk show with Dr. Alfonsus and 9 patterns were found in the talk show with Siti Nadia. As for the factors that initiate repairs, 2 of the 3 factors proposed by Clark & Clark were found in both talk shows. The similarities between the two talk shows are; that both often use the same type of repair, namely Self-Initiated Self-Repair, often use the same pattern of repair, namely the completion pattern, and often use the same repair factors, namely social factors. As for the difference, the talk show with Siti Nadia showed more repairs than that of Dr. Alfonsus although its duration is shorter. The second difference, on the talk show with Dr. Alfonsus, Dr. Alfonsus is the one who often makes repairs. Meanwhile, in the conversation with Siti Nadia, the host was the one who often made repairs. Furthermore, the talk show with Dr. Alfonsus used the exemplification pattern, while the talk show with Siti Nadia did not.
