Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh gender dan latar belakang PAUD terhadap kemampuan adaptasi siswa kelas satu sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Klaten. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik ex post facto desain by level 2 x 3. Penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling melibatkan 116 siswa terdiri dari 60 siswa laki-laki dan 56 siswa perempuan dengan berbagai latar belakang pendidikan PAUD yaitu formal, non-formal dan informal berasal dari 40 sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Klaten. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner yang didesain dalam bentuk skala likert. Analisis data menggunakan Anava 2 Jalan dan uji tuckey. Penelitian ini memiliki dua belas hipotesis. Sembilan hipotesis menyimpulkan bahwa kemampuan adaptasi sekolah siswa dipengaruhi oleh gender terutama siswa perempuan dibandingkan siswa laki-laki dan dengan latar belakang PAUD formal dibandingkan latar belakang PAUD non-formal dan informal. Namun tiga hipotesis menyimpulkan bahwa hampir tidak terdapat perbedaan kemampuan adaptasi sekolah antara siswa perempuan dengan latar belakang PAUD formal dan non-formal, dan hampir tidak terdapat perbedaan pada siswa perempuan informal dan siswa laki-laki informal, serta hampir tidak terdapat perbedaan pada siswa laki-laki dengan latar belakang PAUD non-formal dan informal. This study used a quantitative approach with ex post facto technique design by level 2 x 3. Sample determination using random sampling technique involved 116 students consisting of 60 male students and 56 female students with various PAUD educational backgrounds namely formal, non-formal and informal coming from 40 primary schools in Klaten District. Data collection was conducted through the distribution of questionnaires designed in the form of a Likert scale. Data analysis used 2-way ANOVA and tuckey test. This study has twelve hypotheses. Nine hypotheses concluded that students' school adaptability is influenced by gender especially female students compared to male students and by formal ECD background compared to non-formal and informal ECD background. However, three hypotheses concluded that there is almost no difference in school adaptability between female students with formal and non-formal PAUD backgrounds, and almost no difference between informal female students and informal male students, and almost no difference between male students with non-formal and informal PAUD backgrounds.
