Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan alumni D3 Tata Rias sebagai Makeup Artist (MUA) dalam industri kecantikan. Metode penelitian kualitatif digunakan dengan pendekatan triangulasi untuk mengumpulkan data primer dan sekunder. Data primer diperoleh melalui wawancara langsung dengan alumni yang telah sukses di industri ini, menggunakan kerangka PDAC (Plan , Do, Action, Check). Data sekunder meliputi analisis profil, pengalaman, pendidikan, dan konten yang diunggah di Instagram. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Juni 2024, dengan subjek penelitian adalah alumni D3 Tata Rias yang telah berkarir sebagai MUA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan yang matang, pelaksanaan yang konsisten, evaluasi rutin, serta keterbukaan terhadap umpan balik menjadi faktor kunci keberhasilan para MUA dalam mengembangkan karir mereka. Kesimpulannya, strategi PDAC efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas layanan dan kepuasan klien. Saran yang diberikan meliputi perumusan rencana jangka panjang yang lebih rinci, penerapan strategi pemasaran kreatif, serta evaluasi berkala untuk memastikan peningkatan kualitas layanan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan bagi para profesional dan pendidik di bidang tata rias mengenai strategi pengembangan karir yang efektif di industri kecantikan. ***** This research aims to analyze the factors that influence the success of D3 Cosmetology alumni as Makeup Artists (MUA) in the beauty industry. Qualitative research methods were used with a triangulation approach to collect primary and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through direct interviews with alumni who have been successful in this industry, using the PDAC (Plan , Do, Check, Action) framework. Secondary data includes profile analysis, experience, education and content uploaded on Instagram. The research was conducted in June 2024, with research subjects being D3 Cosmetology alumni who have had careers as MUA. The research results show that careful plan ning, consistent implementation, regular evaluation, and openness to feedback are key factors inthe success of MUA in developing their careers. In conclusion, the PDAC strategy is effective in improving service quality and client satisfaction. The suggestions provided include formulating more detailed long-term plan s, implementing creative marketing strategies, as well as regular evaluations to ensure improvements in service quality. It is hoped that this research will provide insight for professionals and educators in the field of cosmetology regarding effective career development strategies in thebeauty industry.
