Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model PBL berbantuan video animasi terhadap keterampilan pemecahan masalah IPA ditinjau dari gaya kognitif peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode eksperimen dengan desain treatment by level 2x2. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes uraian keterampilan pemecahan masalah IPA dan instrumen GEFT. Hasil penelitian, yaitu: (1) keterampilan pemecahan masalah IPA peserta didik yang belajar menggunakan model PBL berbantuan video animasi memiliki rerata skor 77,35 lebih tinggi daripada peserta didik yang belajar menggunakan model ekspositori berbantuan video animasi; (2) tidak terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan gaya kognitif terhadap keterampilan pemecahan masalah IPA peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model PBL berbantuan video animasi terhadap keterampilan pemecahan masalah IPA peserta didik (main effect), akan tetapi tidak terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan gaya kognitif terhadap keterampilan pemecahan masalah IPA peserta didik (interaction effect), sehingga pengaruh model pembelajaran PBL berbantuan video animasi bersifat umum dan tidak bergantung pada variasi gaya kognitif yang dimiliki peserta didik. Kata Kunci: Keterampilan pemecahan masalah IPA, model Problem Based Learning berbantuan video animasi, gaya kognitif. ***************** This study aims to determine the effect of PBL model assisted by animated video on science problem solving skills in terms of students' cognitive style. The research method used was experimental method with treatment by level 2x2 design. Data collection using a description test of science problem solving skills and GEFT instruments. The results of the study, namely: (1) the science problem solving skills of students who learn using the PBL model assisted by animated videos have an average score of 77.35 higher than students who learn using the expository model assisted by animated videos; (2) there is no interaction effect between learning models and cognitive styles on students' science problem solving skills. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that there is an effect of PBL model assisted by animated video on students' science problem solving skills (main effect), but there is no interaction effect between learning models and cognitive style on students' science problem solving skills (interaction effect), so the effect of PBL learning model assisted by animated video is general and does not depend on variations in the cognitive style of students.
