Abstract
Proses belajar mengajar akan berjalan dengan baik jika seorang guru memiliki kemampuan dalam menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang menyenangkan serta memiliki kemampuan berkomunikasi dalam menyampaikan bahan ajar secara terencana. Maka dari itu diperlukan model pembelajaran yang tepat untuk meningkatkan minat belajar peserta didik, penerapan suatu model pembelajaran memiliki satu komponen yang perlu diperhatikan agar suatu model pembelajaran dapat memberikan pengaruh dalam pelaksanaannya. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang mendukung hal ini adalah model pembelajaran Discovery Learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran dasar-dasar teknik otomotif. Penelitian eksperimen ini menggunakan jenis quasi eksperiment tepatnya yaitu nonequivalent control group design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji Independet Sample T-Test. Hasil belajar menggunakan model Discovery Learning memperoleh nilai pre-test 44,90 dengan skor rata-rata 46% dan nilai post-test 90,45 dengan skor rata-rata 57%. Sedangkan hasil belajar menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional memperoleh nilai pre-test 51,75 dengan skor rata-rata 54% dan nilai post-test 67,50 dengan skor rata-rata 43%. Dimana diperoleh nilai signifikan hasil belajar peserta didik diperoleh yaitu nilai sig (2-tailed) adalah 0,877>0,05 artinya terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan hasil belajar dasar-dasar teknik otomotif peserta didik dengan penggunaan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning, maka H₀ ditolak dan Hₗ diterima. *****The teaching and learning process will run well if a teacher has the ability to create a pleasant learning atmosphere and has the ability to communicate in delivering teaching materials in a planned manner. Therefore, the right learning model is needed to increase students' interest in learning, the application of a learning model has one component that needs to be considered so that a learning model can have an influence in its implementation. One of the learning models that supports this is the Discovery Learning learning model. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the Discovery Learning learning model on improving learning outcomes in basic automotive engineering subjects. This experimental research uses a type of quasi-experiment, namely nonequivalent control group design. The results showed that based on the results of hypothesis testing using the Independent Sample T-Test test. Learning outcomes using the Discovery Learning model obtained a pre-test score of 44.90 with an average score of 46% and a post-test score of 90.45 with an average score of 57%. While learning outcomes using conventional learning methods obtained a pre-test score of 51.75 with an average score of 54% and a post-test score of 67.50 with an average score of 43%. Where the significant value of student learning outcomes is obtained, the sig value (2-tailed) is 0.877>0.05, meaning that there is a significant increase in the learning outcomes of the basics of automotive engineering students with the use of the Discovery Learning learning model, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.
