Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan teknik dribbling bola basket pada peserta didik tunarungu kelas IX B di SLB Negeri 5 Jakarta Barat menggunakan model direct instruction. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemmis dan McTaggart, yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah tiga peserta didik tunarungu berjenis kelamin laki-laki. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan tes kemampuan dribbling bola basket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan dribbling dan sudah memenuhi kriteria keberhasilan sesuai nilai KKTP yaitu 70. Pada kemampuan awal, AM memperoleh nilai rata-rata 63, AS memperoleh nilai rata-rata 61, dan RR memperoleh nilai rata-rata 56. Pada siklus I, AM memperoleh nilai rata-rata 81, AS memperoleh nilai rata-rata 77, dan RR memperoleh nilai rata-rata 73. Pada siklus II, AM memperoleh nilai rata-rata 88, AS memperoleh nilai rata-rata 84, dan RR memperoleh nilai rata-rata 80. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus I, peserta didik telah mencapai nilai yang memenuhi standar keberhasilan. Namun, penelitian tetap dilanjutkan ke siklus II untuk memastikan konsistensi hasil dan melihat peningkatan lebih lanjut. Hasil ini membuktikan bahwa direct instruction efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan dribbling peserta didik tunarungu dengan pendekatan yang sistematis, demonstrasi langsung, dan latihan berulang.***** This study aims to improve the ability of basketball dribbling techniques for deaf students in class IX B at SLB Negeri 5 West Jakarta using the direct instruction model. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which consists of two cycles. The subjects of this research were three male deaf learners. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and tests of basketball dribbling skills. The results showed a significant increase in dribbling ability and had met the success criteria according to the KKTP score of 70. In the initial ability, AM obtained an average score of 63, AS obtained an average score of 61, and RR obtained an average score of 56. In cycle I, AM obtained an average score of 81, AS obtained an average score of 77, and RR obtained an average score of 73. In cycle II, AM obtained an average score of 88, AS obtained an average score of 84, and RR obtained an average score of 80. The results showed that in cycle I, students had achieved scores that met the standards of success. However, the research was continued to cycle II to ensure consistency of results and see further improvement. These results prove that direct instruction is effective in improving the dribbling skills of deaf learners with a systematic approach, direct demonstration, and repeated practice.
