Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan model deskriptif kuantitatif dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor kesulitan yang ditemui oleh mahasiswa dalam menyusun skripsi. Populasi data penelitian ialah mahasiswa Angkatan 2012 – 2014 dengan sampel alumni dan mahasiswa aktif yang menyelesaikan skripsinya lebih dari 1 semester. Data untuk penelitian ini didapatkan dengan menggunakan survey kuesioner yang disebar melalui Google Forms. Hasil yang didapat dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) mahasiswa kesulitan menyusun skripsi dari tahap pencarian topik sampai tahap penelitian, (2) Kurangnya kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menyusun skripsi, (3) Kurangnya sensitivitas mahasiswa dalam memilih topik atau masalah yang tepat, (4) Kesulitan yang dialami oleh mahasiswa saat menyusun proposal diakibatkan oleh kurangnya motivasi untuk segera menyelesaikan skripsinya, (5) Kurangnya kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menuangkan informasi kedalam tulisan yang mudah dimengerti, (6) Sulitnya mahasiswa mendapatkan referensi yang sesuai dengan penelitiannya meskipun memiliki akses yang cukup luas, dan (7)Sulit untuk menyesuaikan jadwal seminar proposal dan sidang. This research uses a quantitative descriptive model with the aim to describe the factors of difficulty encountered by students in preparing thesis. The population of the research data is students of 2012-2014 with a sample of alumni and active students who completed their thesis more than 1 semester. Data for this study were obtained using a questionnaire survey distributed via Google Forms. The results obtained from this study were: (1) students had difficulty preparing their thesis from the topic search stage to the research stage, (2) Lack of students' ability to prepare thesis, (3) Lack of student sensitivity in choosing the right topic or problem, (4) Difficulties experienced by students when preparing proposals are caused by a lack of motivation to immediately finish the thesis, (5) Lack of students' ability to pour information into writing that is easy to understand, (6) Difficulty of students getting references in accordance with their research despite having sufficiently wide access, and (7) It is difficult to adjust the schedule of proposal seminars and thesis exam.
