Abstract

Raissa Salsabila Nadiyah, Pendidikan Karakter Pada Siswa Selama Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh di SMP Negeri 139 Jakarta (Tahun Ajaran 2021/2022). Skripsi. Jakarta: Program Studi Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Hukum, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, 2025. Pendidikan karakter memiliki peranan penting dalam membentuk sikap dan perilaku siswa, pandemi Covid-19 yang mengubah sistem pembelajaran menjadi Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ) memberikan tantangan dalam penerapannya. Memerlukan penyesuaian dan adaptasi baru baik guru dan siswa. Berdasarkan pengamatan penulis selama Praktik Kerja Mengajar, ditemukan beberapa siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam menjaga disiplin, seperti keterlambatan dalam memasuki kelas online dan pengumpulan tugas. Hal ini berpotensi mempengaruhi pembentukan karakter siswa, khususnya dalam kedisiplinan dan tanggung jawab. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gambaran penerapan pendidikan karakter pada siswa di SMP Negeri 139 Jakarta selama masa pembelajaran jarak jauh. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara, kuesioner, dan studi kepustakaan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner menggunakan google form yang diisi siswa kelas 8 dan 9 serta wawancara guru yang mengampu mata pelajaran IPS. Hasil penelitian ini dapat memberikan gambaran tentang pendidikan karakter yang berhubungan dengan IPS yaitu karakter peduli sosial, toleransi, nasionalisme, dan tanggung jawab dalam pembelajaran jarak jauh saat pandemi Covid-19. Serta memberikan rekomendasi terkait upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk tetap menerapkan pendidikan karakter pada masa pembelajaran jarak jauh yang dalam pelaksanaannya terdapat keterbatasan dan tantangan baru. Character education plays an important role in shaping students' attitudes and behavior, the Covid-19 pandemic which changed the learning system to Distance Learning (PJJ) presents challenges in its implementation. Requires new adjustments and adaptations for both teachers and students. Based on the author's observations during the Teaching Work Practice, it was found that several students had difficulty in maintaining discipline, such as delays in entering online classes and submitting assignments. This can potentially affect the formation of student character, especially in discipline and responsibility. This study aims to describe the application of character education to students at SMP Negeri 139 Jakarta during the distance learning period. The research method used is descriptive research with data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews, questionnaires, and literature studies. The data collection technique was carried out by distributing questionnaires using a Google form filled in by grade 8 and 9 students and interviews with teachers who teach social studies subjects. The results of this study can provide an overview of character education related to social studies, namely the character of social care, tolerance, nationalism, and responsibility in distance learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. And provide recommendations related to efforts that can be made to continue implementing character education during distance learning, the implementation of which has limitations and new challenges.
