Abstract

Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris kelas V Sekolah Dasar sering menghadapi tantangan dalam hal keterlibatan peserta didik dan pemahaman konsep bahasa yang mendalam. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan desain pembelajaran flipped classroom dengan strategi problem posing pada pelajaran Bahasa Inggris untuk siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan Dick & Carey (Identify Instructional Goals, Conduct Instructional Analysis, Analyze Learners and Contexts, Write Performance Objective, Develop Assessment Instrument, Develop Instructional Strategy, Develop and Select Instructional Material, Design and Conduct Formative Evaluation of Instruction, dan Revise Instruction). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa desain pembelajaran ini layak berdasarkan expert review oleh ahli desain pembelajaran, ahli media dan ahli materi. Skor yang ditunjukkan ahli desain pembelajaran sebesar 89% yang artinya desain pembelajaran ini layak digunakan dari segi identitas mata pelajaran, kejelasan tujuan instruksional, relevansi strategi pembelajaran dengan capaian pembelajaran dan relevansi evaluasi dengan capaian pembelajaran. Hasil dari ahli media sebesar 86% yang artinya media ini layak dari aspek tampilan media, program/kompatibilitas dan bahasa & komunikasi. Hasil dari ahli materi 88% artinya materi yang disajikan dalam desain pembelajaran ini baik dalam pembelajaran, materi dan bahasa & komunikasi. Dengan hasil uji coba implementasi desain pembelajaran menunjukkan skor N-Gain 0,86 yang artinya efektif meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa desain instruksional yang memadukan flipped classroom dan problem posing efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik dan kualitas pembelajaran bahasa Inggris di tingkat sekolah dasar. Kata kunci: pengembangan desain pembelajaran, flipped classroom, problem posing, keterampilan berpikir kritis, pembelajaran bahasa Inggris. ****** English learning for grade V of Elementary School often faces challenges regarding student engagement and in-depth understanding of language concepts. This study aims to develop a flipped classroom learning design with a problem-posing strategy for English lessons for grade V students in elementary school. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the Dick & Carey development model (Identify Instructional Goals, Conduct Instructional Analysis, Analyze Learners and Contexts, Write Performance Objectives, Develop Assessment Instrument, Develop Instructional Strategy, Develop and Select Instructional Material, Design and Conduct Formative Evaluation of Instruction, and Revise Instruction). The study results indicate that this learning design is feasible based on expert reviews by learning design experts, media experts and material experts. The score shown by the learning design expert is 89%, which means that this learning design is feasible to use in terms of subject identity, clarity of instructional objectives, relevance of learning strategies to learning outcomes and relevance of evaluation to learning outcomes. The results from the media expert are 86%, which means that this media is feasible in terms of media appearance, program/compatibility, language, and communication. The results of the material expert, 88%, mean that the material presented in this learning design is suitable for learning, material and language, and communication. The results of the implementation trial of the learning design show an N-Gain score of 0.86, which means it effectively improves students' critical thinking skills. This study concludes that the instructional design that combines flipped classroom and problem posing is efficacious in improving students' critical thinking skills and the quality of English learning at the elementary school level.
