Abstract
Muhammad Faruq. Peran Pengurus Pondok Pesantren dalam Proses Adaptasi Santri Baru di Pondok Pesantren Darul Hikmah Bekasi. Skripsi. Jakarta: Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Hukum, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis peran pengurus Pondok Pesantren Darul Hikmah dalam proses adaptasi santri baru dari segi kematangan emosional, (2) Mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis peran pengurus Pondok Pesantren Darul Hikmah dalam proses adaptasi santri baru dari segi kematangan intelektual. (3) Mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis peran pengurus Pondok Pesantren Darul Hikmah dalam proses adaptasi santri baru dari segi kematangan sosial. (4) Mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis peran pengurus Pondok Pesantren Darul Hikmah dalam proses adaptasi santri baru dari segi tanggung jawab. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dan termasuk dalam penelitian lapangan (field research). Metode wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, dan kuesioner untuk mengumpulkan data diperoleh dari pengurus dan santri laki-laki tingkat SMP di Pondok Pesantren Darul Hikmah. Peneliti menggunakan teknik Miles dan Huberman untuk menganalisis data, yaitu dengan cara mereduksi data, menyajikan data dan menarik kesimpulan. Peneliti menggunakan teori peran pengurus dan teori adaptasi yang dikembangkan oleh Desmita mengenai kemampuan adaptasi yang baik dapat dilihat melalui empat aspek kepribadian, yaitu: kematangan emosional, kematangan intelektual, kematangan sosial, dan rasa tanggung jawab. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengurus pesantren memegang peran penting dalam membantu santri baru beradaptasi di lingkungan pesantren, melalui berbagai pendekatan yang relevan dengan masing-masing aspek kepribadian santri. Pertama, aspek kematangan emosional. Pengurus pesantren berhasil memberikan perhatian emosional yang signifikan melalui pendekatan persuasif dan pendampingan intensif. Pengurus menciptakan komunikasi yang baik dengan orang tua dan menciptakan lingkungan yang ramah bagi santri baru, dengan skor rata-rata mencapai 86%. Kedua, aspek kematangan intelektual. Pengurus pesantren berhasil memberikan orientasi yang memadai dan mendukung penguasaan bahasa Arab dan Inggris. Pengurus memberikan bantuan akademik kepada santri melalui kursus dan halaqoh. Rata-rata skor mencapai 82%, tetapi terdapat perbaikan terkait perhatian terhadap perbedaan kemampuan akademik santri. Ketiga, aspek kematangan sosial. Pengurus pesantren berhasil menciptakan lingkungan yang inklusif dan harmonis melalui pemisahan santri baru pada hari pertama, pembentukan mentor dari kakak kelas, dan penyuluhan toleransi. Hasil kuesioner menunjukkan skor rata-rata 96% yang menunjukkan keberhasilan pengurus dalam memfasilitasi hubungan sosial yang sehat di pesantren. Keempat, aspek tanggung jawab. Pengurus pesantren memberikan arahan yang jelas mengenai kedisiplinan, kebersihan, serta aturan dan konsekuensi. Skor rata-rata 92% menunjukkan efektivitas pengurus dalam membantu santri memahami dan menjalankan tanggung jawab santri. The Role of the Management of Pondok Pesantren in the Adaptation Process of New Santri at Pondok Pesantren Darul Hikmah Bekasi. Thesis. Jakarta: Islamic Education Study Program, Faculty of Social and Legal Sciences, State University of Jakarta. This study aims to: (1) Describe and analyze the role of the management of Pondok Pesantren Darul Hikmah in the adaptation process of new santri in terms of emotional maturity, (2) Describe and analyze the role of the management of Pondok Pesantren Darul Hikmah in the adaptation process of new santri in terms of intellectual maturity, (3) Describe and analyze the role of the management of Pondok Pesantren Darul Hikmah in the adaptation process of new santri in terms of social maturity, (4) Describe and analyze the role of the management of Pondok Pesantren Darul Hikmah in the adaptation process of new santri in terms of responsibility. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative, and it is a type of field research. The data collection methods include interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires, with data obtained from the management and male junior high school students at Pondok Pesantren Darul Hikmah. The researcher uses the Miles and Huberman technique for data analysis, which involves data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The researcher applies role theory of management and adaptation theory developed by Desmita, which states that good adaptation ability can be seen through four aspects of personality: emotional maturity, intellectual maturity, social maturity, and a sense of responsibility. The results of the research show that the management of the pesantren plays an essential role in helping new santri adapt to the pesantren environment, using various approaches that are relevant to each aspect of the santri's personality. First, emotional maturity: The pesantren management succeeded in providing significant emotional attention through persuasive approaches and intensive mentoring. They created good communication with the parents and fostered a welcoming environment for new santri, achieving an average score of 86%. Second, intellectual maturity: The pesantren management succeeded in providing adequate orientation and supporting mastery of Arabic and English. They provided academic assistance to the santri through courses and halaqoh (study groups). The average score reached 82%, but improvements were needed in addressing differences in the academic abilities of the santri. Third, social maturity: The pesantren management succeeded in creating an inclusive and harmonious environment by separating new santri on the first day, assigning senior students as mentors, and providing tolerance counseling. The questionnaire results showed an average score of 96%, indicating the management's success in facilitating healthy social relationships at the pesantren. Fourth, responsibility: The pesantren management provided clear guidance regarding discipline, cleanliness, as well as rules and consequences. The average score of 92% demonstrates the effectiveness of the management in helping the santri understand and fulfill their responsibilities.
