Abstract
Penelitian ini tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat stres akademik yang dialami oleh murid kelas VII di SMP Negeri 2 Jakarta serta mengidentifikasikan faktor-faktor penyebab stres akademik dan upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru dengan menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan. Latar belakang penelitian didasarkan pada meningkatnya tekanan akademik pada murid seiring dengan penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka dan kebijakan sekolah inklusif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan survey melalui angket skala Likert dan wawancara tertutup. Sampel sebanyak 32 murid dipilih menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling dari populasi berjumlah 128 murid. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 59% murid di SMP Negeri 2 Jakarta mengalami stres akademik dalam kategori yang tinggi. Faktor penyebab dominan stres akademik pada murid meliputi rendahnya motivasi belajar, optimisme, dan academic hardinessi, serta tingkat self-efficacy dan prokrastinasi yang tergolong sedang. Upaya yang telah dilakukan guru meliputi identifikasi psikologis, evaluasi akademik serta mediasi antar murid, orang tua dan guru BK. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya dukungan emosional dan strategi pembelajaran yang adaptif dari guru untuk membantu murid menghadapi tekanan akademik secara sehat dan konstruktif. ***** This study aims to describe the level of academic stress experienced by seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Jakarta and identify the factors causing academic stress and the efforts made by teachers using quantitative descriptive research methods. The background of the study is based on the increasing academic pressure on students following the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka and the inclusive school policy. This research used a survey approach through Likertscale questionnaires and closed interviews. A sample of 32 students was selected using purposive sampling from a population of 128 students. The results showed that 59% of students at SMP Negeri 2 Jakarta experienced academic stress in the high category. The dominant contributing factors included low learning motivation, optimism, and academic hardiness, as well as moderate levels of self-efficacy and procrastination. The efforts made by teachers included psychological identification, academic evaluation, and mediation between students, parents, and school counselors. These findings emphasize the importance of emotional support and adaptive learning strategies from teachers in helping students cope with academic pressure in a healthy and constructive manner.
