Abstract
Personal hygiene merupakan hal yang sangat penting dan harus diperhatikan dibidang pengolah makanan khususnya pada karyawan food production. Personal hygiene yang konsisten sangat diperlukan untuk mencegah risiko penularan penyakit. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat bagaimana penerapan personal hygiene pada karyawan food production di salah satu hotel Jakarta. Metode dari penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di salah satu hotel di Jakarta Selatan, dengan total populasi 78 karyawan, dan total sampel sebanyak 65 karyawan food production. Data diperoleh melalui penyebaran kesioner, terdiri dari 16 pertanyaan yang telah melalui uji validitas, dan reliabilitas, mencakup 5 dimensi yaitu citra tubuh, praktik sosial, status sosial ekonomi, pengetahuan, dan budaya. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif dan analisis korelasi chi-square. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan personal hygiene pada karyawan di salah satu hotel Jakarta, secara umum berada dalam kategori sedang. Hal ini tercermin dari rata-rata kelima dimensi yang sedang, serta distribusi responden yang dominan pada kategori sedang dan tinggi. ***** Personal hygiene is very important and must be considered in the food processing sector, especially for food production employees. Consistent personal hygiene is essential to prevent the risk of disease transmission. The purpose of this study was to observe how personal hygiene is implemented among food production employees in one of Jakarta's hotels. The method of this study used a descriptive quantitative method. This study was conducted in one of the hotels in South Jakarta, with a total population of 78 employees, and a total sample of 65 food production employees. Data were obtained through the distribution of questionnaires, consisting of 16 questions that have been tested for validity and reliability, covering 5 dimensions: body image, social practices, socioeconomic status,knowledge, and culture. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistical techniques and chi-square correlation analysis. The results of this study indicate that personal hygiene practices among employees at a Jakarta hotel are generally moderate. This is reflected in the moderate average scores on all five dimensions and the predominant distribution of respondents in the moderate and high categories.
