Abstract
Di era Revolusi Industri 4.0, penguasaan softskill menjadi kompetensi esensial bagi lulusan pendidikan vokasi, khususnya siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK), untuk dapat bersaing di dunia kerja yang dinamis. Namun, implementasi pengembangan softskill di SMK, terutama dalam program Teaching Factory, masih belum optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan softskill siswa, khususnya pada aspek communication dan collaboration, di SMKN 26 Jakarta jurusan TEKNIK MANAJEMEN PERAWATAN OTOMOTIF. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan McTaggart yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, angket self-assessment, wawancara guru, dan dokumentasi aktivitas siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada kedua indikator softskill: Communication Skills meningkat dari skor 50,93 menjadi 62,27 (naik 22%), dan Collaboration Skills meningkat dari skor 49,33 menjadi 66,27 (naik 34%). Peningkatan ini mencerminkan keberhasilan model PjBL dalam menciptakan suasana belajar yang partisipatif dan kontekstual, mendekati dunia industri nyata. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa integrasi PjBL dalam Teaching Factory merupakan pendekatan yang efektif untuk mengembangkan softskill siswa secara holistik, dan direkomendasikan untuk diimplementasikan lebih luas dalam pembelajaran vokasional berbasis industri.***** ***** In the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, mastering soft skills has become a crucial competency for vocational school graduates (SMK) to remain competitive in a rapidly evolving labor market. However, the integration of soft skills development within SMK curricula—especially in Teaching Factory programs—remains suboptimal. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model in improving students’ soft skills, specifically in the areas of communication and collaboration, at SMKN 26 Jakarta in the Automotive Engineering department. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles. Data were collected through observation, self-assessment questionnaires, teacher interviews, and project activity documentation. The findings indicate a significant improvement in both soft skill indicators: Communication Skills increased from a score of 50.93 to 62.27 (a 22% rise), while Collaboration Skills improved from 49.33 to 66.27 (a 34% rise). These results demonstrate that the PjBL model effectively fosters a participatory and contextual learning environment that closely mirrors real-world industrial settings. It is concluded that integrating PjBL within Teaching Factory programs is a highly effective approach to holistically enhance students' soft skills and should be widely adopted in vocational learning frameworks aligned with industry demands.
