Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui motivasi mahasiwa program studi Pendidikan Tata Busana terhadap capsule wardrobe. Desain penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif menggunakan metode survei, dengan populasi penelitian yaitu 219 mahasiswa aktif dengan rincian 142 mahasiswa aktif program studi S1 Pendidikan Tata Busana Universitas Negeri Jakarta angkatan 2021-2024. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah simple random sampling, dengan jumlah partisipan penelitian sebanyak 142 mahasiswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan angket sebanyak 27 item pernyataan dan 4 pernyataan terbuka serta menggunakan pengukuran skala likert. Penelitian menggunakan analisis data univariat dengan perhitungan presentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sangat tingginya motivasi mahasiswa Pendidikan Tata Busana terhadap capsule wardrobe berdasarkan motivasi intrinsik dan ekstrinsik. Motivasi intrinsik tertinggi terdapat pada sub indikator pilihan pribadi, dimana mahasiswa dapat memilih item esensial yang sesuai dengan gaya, kebutuhan, dan nilai estetika berdasarkan kesadaran dan keinginan pribadi. Sedangkan, motivasi ekstrinsik tertinggi terdapat pada sub indikator kesadaran manfaat praktis, dimana penerapan konsep capsule wardrobe dapat memberikan dampak langsung terhadap pengurangan pengeluaran untuk pembelian pakaian. Dominasi motivasi ekstrinsik ini mencerminkan kepedulian mahasiswa terhadap isu lingkungan. ***** This study aims to determine the motivation of Fashion Design Education students towards capsule wardrobes. This study design is quantitative descriptive using a survey method, with a study population of 219 active students, with a breakdown of 142 active students of the Bachelor of Fashion Design Education study program at Jakarta State University, class of 2021-2024. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling, with a total of 142 students participating in the study. Data collection was carried out with a questionnaire consisting of 27 statements and 4 open-ended statements, and using a Likert scale measurement. The study used univariate data analysis with percentage calculations. The results showed a very high motivation of Fashion Design Education students towards capsule wardrobes based on intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. The highest intrinsic motivation is found in the personal choice sub-indicator, where students can choose essential items that suit their style, needs, and aesthetic values based on personal awareness and desires. Meanwhile, the highest extrinsic motivation is found in the practical benefits awareness sub-indicator, where the application of the capsule wardrobe concept can have a direct impact on reducing spending on clothing purchases. The dominance of this extrinsic motivation reflects students' concern for environmental issues.
