Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor yang menyebabkan ketidaksesuaian berthing time kapal kargo di Terminal Petikemas Koja. Latar belakang dari penelitian ini dari didasari oleh selisih antara Estimate Time Berth (ETB) dengan Actual Time Berth (ATB) dan Estimated Time Departure (ETD) dengan Actual Time Departure (ATD) yang berakibat pada terjadinya long stay container, perombakan jadwal kapal lainnya, serta meningkatnya biaya operasinal terminal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif melalui observasi dan wawancara. Analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyebab ketidaksesuaian berthing time adalah kerusakan alat berat seperti spreader dan trolly crane yang bermasalah, serta faktor alam seperti kabut tebal dan angin kencang. Dampak dari ketidaksesuaian ini meliputi peningkatan biaya operasional, long stay container di CY (Container Yard), serta gangguan terhadap penjadwalan kapal berikutnya. Oleh karena itu, disarankan agar terminal melakukan perawatan alat secara berkala, menyusun estimasi waktu dengan mempertimbangkan potensi kendala, dan memperkuat koordinasi operasional demi meningkatkan akurasi berthing time dan efisiensi pelabuhan secara keseluruhan. Kata Kunci : berthing time, ketidaksesuaian, bongkar muat ***** This study aims to identify factors causing mismatches in berthing times for cargo ships at the Koja Container Terminal. The background of this study is based on the discrepancy between the Estimated Time Berth (ETB) and Actual Time Berth (ATB) and the Estimated Time Departure (ETD) and Actual Time Departure (ATD), which results in long container stays, reshuffles of other vessel schedules, and increased terminal operational costs. This study used descriptive methods through observation and interviews. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and descriptive conclusions. The results indicate that the causes of berthing time mismatches are heavy equipment failures such as spreader and trolley crane problems, as well as natural factors such as thick fog and strong winds. The impacts of these mismatches include increased operational costs, long container stays in the Container Yard (CY), and disruptions to subsequent vessel scheduling. Therefore, it is recommended that the terminal conduct regular equipment maintenance, develop time estimates that take potential obstacles into account, and strengthen operational coordination to improve berthing time accuracy and overall port efficiency.
