Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media edukasi audio-visual terhadap pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai Program Keluarga Berencana (KB) di Kelurahan Kali Baru. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan pre-eksperimental dan desain one group pre-test post-test. Populasi terdiri dari 3.349 wanita pasangan usia subur yang sudah menikah, dengan sampel sebanyak 60 orang yang diperoleh melalui teknik non-random sampling menggunakan rumus Lemeshow. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 15 Februari 2025. Instrumen penelitian berupa 20 soal pilihan ganda yang diujikan pada saat pre-test dan post-test. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan signifikan pada rata-rata nilai pengetahuan setelah sosialisasi menggunakan media audio-visual. Uji statistik dengan Paired Sample T-Test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (p < 0,05), yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai pre-test dan post-test. Peningkatan pengetahuan mencakup pemahaman tentang tujuan KB, jenis-jenis alat kontrasepsi, manfaat KB bagi kesehatan ibu dan anak, serta layanan KB yang tersedia. Sebelum intervensi, mayoritas responden hanya mengetahui informasi dasar terkait KB. Setelah penyuluhan, banyak responden yang mampu memahami hingga tahap penerapan, seperti cara memilih alat kontrasepsi yang sesuai dengan kondisi masing-masing. Dengan demikian, media audio-visual terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai Program KB dan dapat dijadikan alat edukatif strategis dalam kegiatan penyuluhan, terutama di wilayah padat penduduk seperti Kelurahan Kali Bar Kata Kunci : Media Pembelajaran edukasi Audio-Visual, Program Keluarga Berencana, Pengetahuan Masyarakat ***** This study aims to determine the effect of audio-visual educational media on public knowledge regarding the Family Planning (FP) Program in Kali Baru Subdistrict. The research employed a quantitative method with a pre-experimental approach using a one-group pre-test post-test design. The population consisted of 3,349 married women of reproductive age, with a sample of 60 respondents selected through non-random sampling using the Lemeshow formula. The study was conducted on February 15, 2025. The research instrument consisted of 20 multiple-choice questions administered during the pre-test and post-test. The results showed a significant increase in the average knowledge score after the educational session using audio-visual media. Statistical analysis using the Paired Sample T-Test yielded a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores. The improvement in knowledge included understanding the objectives of the Family Planning Program, types of contraceptive methods, the health benefits of family planning for mothers and children, and information about available family planning services. Prior to the intervention, most respondents had only basic knowledge about the program. After the session, many participants demonstrated understanding up to the application stage, such as choosing appropriate contraceptive methods based on personal conditions. In conclusion, audio-visual media proved to be effective in enhancing public knowledge about the Family Planning Program and can serve as a strategic educational tool for outreach activities, particularly in densely populated urban areas such as Kali Baru Subdistrict.
