Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengetahuan Estetika Berbusana pada mahasiswa program studi Tata Busana Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik sampling pada penelitian ini adalah multi stage sampling dengan dua stage. Stage pertama dalam penelitian ini yaitu Propotionate strafied random sampling (pengambilan sampel acak berstrata proposional) adalah teknik pengambilan populasi dibagi menjadi beberapa strata (kelompok) Stage kedua dalam penelitian ini yakni adalah Accidental sampling yaitu teknik pengambilan sampel di mana responden dipilih secara kebetulan, berdasarkan siapa saja yang ditemui oleh peneliti secara kebetulan dan dianggap cocok sebagai sumber data. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrument tes yang terdiri 40 soal benar salah untuk mengukur pengetahuan mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian pengetahuan estetika berbusana, nilai tertinggi pada aspek pengetahuan estetika busana yang sesuai dengan model, 94 mahasiswa menjawab benar dengan presentase 69,65%, dan nilai terendah terdapat pada aspek pengetahuan estetika busana yang sesuai dengan usia, hanya 39 mahasiswa yang menjawab benar dengan presentase 28,9%. ***** This research investigates the knowledge of Fashion Aesthetics among students of the Fashion Design Study Program at Universitas Negeri Jakarta. This research uses a survey method with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used in this study is multi-stage sampling with two stages. The first stage is proportionate stratified random sampling whereby the population is divided into some strata (groups) and samples are drawn proportionally. The second stage is accidental sampling, a technique in which respondents are selected by chance, based on whoever the researcher happens to encounter and deems suitable as a data source. The data indicated that the highest achievement in fashion aesthetic knowledge was in the area of aesthetics alignment with fashion models, where 94 students, or 69.65 percent, responded correctly. Their lowest score was in the area of aesthetics alignment with age where only 39 students responding correctly constituting 28.9 percent.
