Abstract

Momentum perayaan Hari Ulang Tahun Kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia setiap tahunnya selalu menarik perhatian masyarakat. Pasti ada keunikan di setiap perayaannya. Contohnya pawai sayur yang diadakan di Desa Daditunggal Dusun Cuwalang dan Telok Abang atau Telor Merah dari Palembang. Idealnya masyarakat khususnya remaja berperan aktif dalam kegiatan ini tetapi tidak dengan remaja RW 04. Mereka enggan untuk berpartisipasi aktif dan terjadi penurunan serta kenaikan partisipasi setiap tahunnya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh sebuah fenomena naik turunnya partisipasi remaja dalam kegiatan perayaan HUT Kemerdekaan RI di wilayah RW.04, Kelurahan Cipinang Muara, Kecamatan Jatinegara. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui civic engagement remaja dan bagaimana bentuknya dalam HUT Kemerdekaan RI di RW.04 Kelurahan Cipinang Muara, Kecamatan Jatinegara, Jakarta Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah sumber data primer dan sumber data sekunder. Sumber data primer melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi serta sumber data sekunder melalui studi Pustaka. Teknik kalibrasi keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi data, ketekunan pengamatan, dan expert opinion. Teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah civic engagement remaja RW.04 dalam HUT Kemerdekaan RI cenderung lemah. Mereka lebih berminat untuk terlibat pada kegiatan yang dilaksanakan di luar lingkungan RW.04. Bentuk keterlibatannya antara lain, sebagai panitia dari tahap perencanaan hingga evaluasi dan peserta lomba. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah lemahnya civic engagement remaja dalam HUT Kemerdekaan RI di lingkungan RW.04 dan terdapat beberapa bentuk keterlibatan seperti yang sudah disebutkan di atas. ***** The momentum of the celebration of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia every year always attracts public attention. There must be something unique in each celebration. For example, the vegetable parade held in Daditunggal Village, Cuwalang Hamlet and Telok Abang or Red Egg from Palembang. Ideally, the community, especially teenagers, plays an active role in this activity, but this is not the case with teenagers in RW 04. They are reluctant to participate actively and there is a decline and increase in participation every year. Therefore, this study is motivated by a phenomenon of the rise and fall of teenagers' participation in the celebration of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia in the RW.04 area, Cipinang Muara Village, Jatinegara District. The purpose of this study is to determine the civic engagement of teenagers and how it forms in the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia in RW.04, Cipinang Muara Village, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta. This study uses a qualitative approach and descriptive methods. The data sources used are primary data sources and secondary data sources. Primary data sources through observation, interviews, and documentation and secondary data sources through library research. The data validity calibration technique uses data triangulation, observation persistence, and expert opinion. The data analysis technique uses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study are that the civic engagement of teenagers in RW.04 in the Indonesian Independence Day tends to be weak. They are more interested in getting involved in activities carried out outside the RW.04 environment. The forms of involvement include being on the committee from the planning stage to evaluation and as competition participants. The conclusion of this study is the weak civic engagement of teenagers in the Indonesian Independence Day in the RW.04 environment and there are several forms of involvement as mentioned above.
