Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menguji keefektifan sebuah produk berupa “Buku Panduan Observasi Kesiapan Sekolah pada Masa Adaptasi Awal Pembelajaran Jenjang Pendidikan Dasar Usia 6–7 Tahun”. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari belum tersedianya panduan sistematis yang dapat digunakan oleh guru untuk menilai kesiapan siswa saat memasuki jenjang SD kelas 1. Penelitian ini menjawab pertanyaan: bagaimana proses pengembangan, kelayakan, dan efektivitas produk panduan observasi tersebut? Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 20 guru kelas 1 SD di Jakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, wawancara, validasi ahli, dan uji coba lapangan. Instrumen penelitian meliputi lembar validasi ahli, lembar observasi, angket kebutuhan guru, serta soal pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa buku panduan yang dikembangkan dinyatakan sangat layak oleh ahli materi (92,5%) dan ahli media (90,6%). Uji efektivitas menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman guru dengan rata-rata skor N-Gain sebesar 0,64 (kategori sedang ke tinggi). Kesimpulannya, produk ini terbukti layak dan efektif dalam membantu guru melakukan observasi kesiapan sekolah siswa secara objektif dan sistematis. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa panduan ini dapat digunakan sebagai alat bantu asesmen awal di sekolah dasar dan dapat mendorong praktik pembelajaran yang lebih adaptif, kontekstual, serta berpusat pada anak. ***** This study aims to develop and examine the effectiveness of a product titled “School Readiness Observation Guidebook During the Early Adaptation Period of Learning in Elementary Education for Children Aged 6–7 Years.” The background of this research stems from the lack of a observation guide for teachers to assess students' school readiness upon entering first grade. This study addresses the questions: how is the product developed, how feasible is it, and how effective is it in practice? The method used is Research and Development (R&D) following the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The sample involved 20 first- grade teachers in Jakarta. Data collection techniques included questionnaires, interviews, expert validations, and field testing. The instruments consisted of expert validation sheets, observation forms, teacher needs questionnaires, and pre-test – post-test items. The results showed that the guidebook was rated highly feasible by subject experts (92.5%) and media experts (90.6%). Effectiveness testing indicated an increase in teacher understanding, with an average N-Gain score of 0.64 (moderate to high category). In conclusion, this product is proven to be appropriate and effective in helping teachers conduct systematic and objective school readiness observations. The implication is that the guidebook can serve as an initial assessment tool in primary schools and promote more adaptive, contextual, and child-centred learning practices.
