Abstract
Academic engagement memiliki peran penting di dalam proses studi bagi mahasiswa program doktor, dengan academic engagement yang tinggi, cenderung mencapai hasil akademik yang memuaskan dan produktif dalam penelitian. Meskipun begitu, pada kenyataannya mahasiswa program doktor terkadang kesulitan untuk mempertahankan academic engagement karena tuntutan akademik yang tinggi, masalah keuangan dan kesulitan menyeimbangkan kehidupan pribadi dengan studi. Academic self-efficacy dan academic resilience menjadi faktor internal yang dapat mempengaruhi tingkat academic engagement pada mahasiswa program doktor. Penelitian ini berjenis kuantitatif dengan menggunakan purposive sampling terhadap 149 mahasiswa program doktor. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Utrecht Work Engagement Scale for Student (UWES-9S), Motivated Strategies for Learning – Self-efficacy (MSLQ-SE), dan Academic Resilience Scale (ARS-30). Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh positif academic self-efficacy dan academic resilience terhadap academic engagement baik secara simultan maupun parsial.***** Academic engagement plays an important role in the study process for doctoral students, with high academic engagement, they tend to achieve satisfactory academic results and be productive in research. However, in reality, doctoral students sometimes struggle to maintain academic engagement due to high academic demands, financial problems and difficulties balancing personal life with study. Academic self-efficacy and academic resilience are internal factors that can affect the level of academic engagement in doctoral students. This research is quantitative using purposive sampling of 149 doctoral program students. The measuring instruments used are the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale for Students (UWES-9S), Motivated Strategies for Learning - Self-efficacy (MSLQ-SE), and Academic Resilience Scale (ARS-30). The data analysis technique used multiple regression techniques. The results showed that there was a positive influence of academic self-efficacy and academic resilience on academic engagement both simultaneously and partially.
