Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Father Involvement terhadap sikap dalam memiliki anak pada emerging adulthood melalui peran mediasi Parenting Sense of Competence (PSOC). Metode penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi linear berganda. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen Father Involvement Scale oleh Finley & Schwartz (2004), instrumen Procreation Attitude Scale (Marhenke & Imhoff, 2020), dan instrumen Parenting Sense of Competence Scale (PSOC) yang oleh Johnston & Mash (1989). Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah teknik non-probability sampling dan uji Sobel untuk menguku variabel mediasi dengan kriteria berusia 18-25 tahun, masih memiliki ayah dan pernah/sedang tinggal bersama ayah. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui kuesioner. Jumlah responden pada penelitian ini sebanyak 144 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Father Involvement berpengaruh signifikan terhadap sikap dalam memiliki anak pada emerging adulthood, dengan Parenting Sense of Competence (PSOC) sebagai mediator parsial. ***** This study aims to examine the influence of Father Involvement on attitudes toward having children among emerging adulthood, through the mediating role of Parenting Sense of Competence (PSOC). The research employed a quantitative method using multiple linear regression analysis. Data were collected using the Father Involvement Scale by Finley & Schwartz (2004), the Procreation Attitude Scale by Marhenke & Imhoff (2020), and the Parenting Sense of Competence Scale (PSOC) by Johnston & Mash (1989). The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling with criteria including being aged 18–25 years, having a living father, and having lived or currently living with their father. Research data were obtained through questionnaires. A total of 144 respondents participated in this study. The results showed that Father Involvement has a significant influence on attitudes toward having children in emerging adulthood, with Parenting Sense of Competence (PSOC) serving as a partial mediator.
