Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh Collaborative Learning dan Self-efficacy terhadap Learning Motivation siswa dengan menggunakan variabel mediasi yaitu Student Engagement di SMKN 8 Jakarta. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) yang diolah melalui aplikasi SmartPLS 3.0. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 138 siswa yang diambil secara proporsional dari enam kelas dengan masing-masing kelas berjumlah 23 siswa. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa Collaborative Learning dan Self-efficacy berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Student Engagement dan Learning Motivation. Selain itu, Student Engagement terbukti memediasi secara signifikan hubungan tidak langsung antara Collaborative Learning dan Self-efficacy terhadap Learning Motivation. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pembelajaran kolaboratif dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa melalui peningkatan keterlibatan mereka dalam pembelajaran. Penguatan self-efficacy juga berperan penting dalam mendorong keterlibatan aktif yang pada akhirnya meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Oleh karena itu, hasil penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya penerapan metode pembelajaran kolaboratif serta pengembangan kepercayaan diri akademik siswa dalam mendukung pencapaian motivasi belajar yang lebih tinggi. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoritis terhadap pengembangan model pembelajaran berbasis keterlibatan aktif dan efikasi diri. Selanjutnya, penelitian dapat mengembangkan model ini dengan menambahkan variabel lain, seperti academic stress atau peer support, untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih dalam mengenai faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi belajar siswa. Kata kunci: collaborative learning, self-efficacy, student engagement, learning motivation, Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan ***** This study aims to examine the influence of Collaborative Learning and Self-efficacy on student Learning Motivation using Student Engagement as a mediating variable at SMKN 8 Jakarta. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach with the Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method processed through the SmartPLS 3.0 application. The research sample consisted of 138 students taken proportionally from six classes with each class consisting of 23 students. The results of the analysis show that Collaborative Learning and Self-efficacy have a positive and significant effect on Student Engagement and Learning Motivation. In addition, Student Engagement is proven to significantly mediate the indirect relationship between Collaborative Learning and Self-efficacy on Learning Motivation. These findings indicate that collaborative learning can increase student learning motivation by increasing their involvement in learning. Strengthening self-efficacy also plays an important role in encouraging active involvement which ultimately increases student learning motivation. Therefore, the results of this study emphasize the importance of implementing collaborative learning methods and developing students' academic self-confidence in supporting the achievement of higher learning motivation. This research provides theoretical contributions to the development of a learning model based on active engagement and self-efficacy. Further research could expand this model by adding other variables, such as academic stress or peer support, to gain a deeper understanding of the factors influencing student learning motivation.
