Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat buku panduan dalam mengelola stress akademik siswa baru kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Palopo Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025 dengan menggunakan intervensi Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Desain dalam penelitian ini menggunakan design based research model Reeves, dengan metode penelitian eksperimen. Subjek penelitian ini diambil dengan menggunakan cara purposive karena jumlah sampel yang diambil berdasarkan kriteria yaitu siswa yang memiliki stress akademik yang tinggi. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan ESSA (Stress Scale for Adolescent) yang berjumlah 16 pernyataan yang sudah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan uji sample independent T-test. Dari hasil analisis yang diperoleh Nilai Sig.(2-tailed) 0,000 > 0.05 yang artinya Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, sehingga terdapat pengaruh Cognitive Behavior Therapy dalam mengelola stress akademik siswa baru kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 8 Palopo Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025. Buku panduan yang dibuat juga sudah melalui validitas dari dosen uji materi, artinya buku panduan ini dapat digunakan oleh guru BK dalam membantu siswa baru dalam mengelola stress akademik yang mereka alami. ***** This study aims to create a guidebook in managing academic stress of new students of class VIII of SMP Negeri 8 Palopo in the 2024/2025 Academic Year using Cognitive Behavior Therapy intervention. The design in this study uses the Reeves design based research model, with an experimental research method. The subjects of this study were taken using a purposive method because the number of samples taken was based on the criteria, namely students who have high academic stress. Data collection in this study used ESSA (Stress Scale for Adolescent) which consists of 16 statements that have been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis in this study used the independent sample T-test. From the results of the analysis obtained Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 > 0.05 which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so there is an influence of Cognitive Behavior Therapy in managing academic stress of new students of class VIII at SMP Negeri 8 Palopo in the 2024/2025 Academic Year. The guidebook has also been validated by lecturers, meaning it can be used by guidance counselors to help new students manage their academic stress.
