Abstract

Media pembelajaran digital telah berkembang pesat dan memiliki potensi yang tinggi dalam menunjang proses pembelajaran. Pembelajaran biologi yang mengintegrasikan potensi lokal dalam media pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan sikap peduli lingkungan siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan e-booklet keanekaragaman jenis mangrove berbasis potensi lokal di Pulau Sangiang Banten, menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan sikap peduli lingkungan setelah menggunakan e-booklet. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Educational Design Research (EDR) dengan model pengembangan Hannafin & Peck (1988). Validasi dilakukan oleh ahli materi dan ahli media, sedangkan uji coba dilakukan pada kelompok kecil dan kelompok besar siswa kelas XI MIPA. Uji efektivitas dilakukan melalui desain pretest-posttest control group dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa soal kemampuan berpikir kritis dan angket sikap peduli lingkungan. Hasil validasi ahli menunjukkan bahwa e-booklet tergolong sangat valid, sedangkan hasil uji coba oleh kelompok kecil dan kelompok besar menunjukkan bahwa e-booklet yang dikembangkan termasuk dalam kategori sangat valid untuk digunakan pada materi Keanekaragaman Hayati. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan e-booklet keanekaragaman jenis mangrove di Pulau Sangiang Banten secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan sikap peduli lingkungan siswa. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-booklet ini sangat valid digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran dan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan sikap peduli lingkungan siswa SMA ***** Digital learning media has rapidly evolved and holds great potential in supporting the learning process. Biology learning that integrates local potential into learning media can enhance students’ critical thinking skills and environmental awareness. This study aimed to develop a local-potential-based e-booklet on mangrove species diversity in Sangiang Island, Banten, and to analyze the improvement of critical thinking skills and environmental awareness after using the e-booklet. The research employed the Educational Design Research (EDR) method with the Hannafin & Peck (1988) development model. Validation was carried out by material and media experts, while trials were conducted on small and large groups of Grade XI science students. The effectiveness test was implemented using a pretest–posttest control group design, with instruments in the form of critical thinking skill tests and environmental awareness questionnaires. Expert validation results indicated that the e-booklet was highly valid, while trials with both small and large groups showed that the developed e-booklet was categorized as highly valid for use in the topic of Biodiversity. Data analysis results revealed that the use of the mangrove species diversity e-booklet in Sangiang Island significantly improved students’ critical thinking skills and environmental awareness. Therefore, it can be concluded that this e-booklet is highly valid as a learning medium and can effectively enhance high school students’ critical thinking skills and environmental awareness.
