Abstract
Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan guna mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) berbantuan alat peraga terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa di MTs Daarul Hikmah. Metode eksperimen semu digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah soal posttest kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa pada materi statistika. Instrumen tes yang digunakan adalah soal uraian sebanyak lima soal dan telah diuji validitas serta reliabilitasnya. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Simple Random Sampling dan Cluster Random Sampling untuk menentukan kelas eksperimen dan kontrol yang telah diuji normalitas, homogenitas, dan memiliki kesamaan rata-rata. Pengujian hipotesis dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan uji-t dan hasil yang diperoleh adalah t_hitung=3,565 dan t_((0,95;54))=2,005, yaitu tolak H_0 pada taraf signifikansi (α) = 0,05 yang berarti bahwa nilai rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang menerapkan model CTL berbantuan alat peraga lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa yang menerapkan model pembelajaran konvensional. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model CTL berbantuan alat peraga terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa di MTs Daarul Hikmah. Perhitungan besar pengaruh yang diperoleh adalah d = 0,9535, dengan persentase sebesar 82% yang termasuk dalam kategori besar.***** This study intends to assess the effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model assisted by teaching aids on students' mathematical problem-solving ability at MTs Daarul Hikmah. A quasi-experimental method was used in this research. The research instrument was a post-test on students’ mathematical problem-solving ability in the topic of statistics. The test instrument consisted of five essay questions that had been validated for both validity and reliability. The sampling technique used was Simple Random Sampling and Cluster Random Sampling to determine the experimental and control classes, which had been tested for normality, homogeneity, and equivalence in average ability. Hypothesis testing was conducted using a t-test, resulting in t_hitung = 3.565 and t_tabel= 2.005, which means H0 is rejected at a significance level of α = 0.05. This indicates that the average score of students who were taught using the CTL model with teaching aids was higher than that of students taught using conventional learning methods. These results show that the CTL model assisted by teaching aids has an effect on students' mathematical problem-solving ability at MTs Daarul Hikmah. The effect size was calculated to be d = 0.9535, with a percentage of 82%, which is categorized as a large effect.
