Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hasil gambar anak usia 3–4 tahun dalam merefleksikan perkembangan kognitif dan motorik halus dengan melihat karakteristik warna, bentuk, dan ruang yang digunakan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis studi deskriptif dengan metode analisis konten. Subjek penelitian adalah lima anak usia 3–4 tahun di TPA Bungur Kopassus, Jakarta Timur. Data penelitian berupa sepuluh gambar (masing-masing anak menghasilkan dua gambar: gambar bebas dan gambar bebas dari bentuk lingkaran). Data diperoleh melalui observasi, penilaian guru, dan dokumentasi hasil karya anak, kemudian dianalisis melalui reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setiap anak memiliki perbedaan dalam hasil gambar karena perkembangan tidak dapat disamakan, namun umumnya gambar masih berada pada tahap coretan (scribbling stage). Ciri yang tampak meliputi goresan sederhana, bentuk dasar lingkaran dan garis lurus, serta pemilihan warna yang intuitif dan spontan. Meskipun belum proporsional, gambar mulai menunjukkan maksud simbolik yang berkaitan dengan pengalaman dan imajinasi anak. Dari aspek kognitif, gambar mencerminkan kemampuan berpikir simbolik awal; sedangkan dari aspek motorik halus, terlihat koordinasi mata-tangan dan kontrol otot kecil yang semakin baik melalui kualitas garis dan tekanan goresan. Kesimpulannya, gambar anak dapat dijadikan sarana observasi perkembangan sekaligus media stimulasi dalam pembelajaran anak usia dini. ***** This study aims to analyze the drawings of children aged 3–4 years to reflect their cognitive and fine motor development by looking at the characteristics of color, shape, and space used. The study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with content analysis methods. The research subjects were five children aged 3–4 years at the Bungur Kopassus Daycare Center in East Jakarta. The research data consisted of ten drawings (each child produced two drawings: a free drawing and a free drawing of a circle). The data were obtained through observation, teacher assessment, and documentation of the children's work, then analyzed through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that each child has differences in their drawings because development cannot be standardized, but generally the drawings are still at the scribbling stage. The characteristics observed include simple strokes, basic circular shapes and straight lines, and intuitive and spontaneous color selection. Although not yet proportional, the drawings begin to show symbolic intent related to the children's experiences and imagination. From a cognitive perspective, drawings reflect early symbolic thinking abilities; from a fine motor perspective, improved eye-hand coordination and control of small muscles are evident through the quality of lines and pressure of strokes. In conclusion, children's drawings can serve as a tool for observing development and as a medium for stimulation in early childhood education.
