Abstract

Kurangnya materi ajar dalam pembelajaran teks berita pada kelas VIII, mengakibatkan tingkat pemahaman peserta didik menjadi kurang maksimal. Peserta didik membutuhkan materi ajar lain yang mudah dipahami dan diingat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengetahui kelayakan materi ajar teks berita berbasis media Nearpod pada siswa kelas VIII SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE dengan 3 tahapan (analysis, design, and development). Data penelitian diperoleh dengan observasi, wawancara, dan angket. Analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan di SMP Negeri 13 Tangerang Selatan. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh berupa data kuantitatif dan kualitatif dari validasi ahli materi dan ahli media. Validasi ahli materi menilai empat aspek yaitu kurikulum, penyajian materi, penyajian soal, dan kebahasaan, dengan hasil keseluruhan yang sangat baik sebesar 90,3%. Ahli media menilai tiga aspek yaitu penyajian, keefektifan, dan grafik dengan hasil keseluruhan yang sangat baik sebesar 86,1%. Dari hasil penilaian para ahli, produk materi ajar teks berita berbasis media Nearpod memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 88,2%. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian validasi materi dan media, dapat disimpulkan bahwa materi ajar teks berita berbasis media Nearpod yang telah dikembangkan, dinyatakan sangat layak digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran kelas VIII SMP. ***** The lack of teaching material in learning news texts in class VIII results in students' level of understanding being less than optimal. Students need other teaching materials that are easy to understand and remember. This research aims to develop and determine the feasibility of Nearpod media-based news text teaching materials for class VIII junior high school students. This research uses Research and Development (R&D) research with the ADDIE development model with 3 stages (analysis, design, and development). Research data was obtained by observation, interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out quantitatively and qualitatively. Sampling was carried out at SMP Negeri 13 South Tangerang. The research results obtained were in the form of quantitative and qualitative data from validation by material experts and media experts. Material expert validation assessed four aspects, namely curriculum, material presentation, question presentation, and language, with an excellent overall result of 90.3%. Media experts assessed three aspects, namely presentation, effectiveness and graphics with an excellent overall result of 86.1%. From the results of expert assessments, Nearpod media-based news text teaching material products received an average score of 88.2%. Based on the results of the material and media validation assessment, it can be concluded that the Nearpod media-based news text teaching material that has been developed is declared very suitable for use in class VIII junior high school learning activities.
