Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan mengimplementasikan hasil pengembangan media big book BeBiBoo dalam kegiatan bermain untuk menstimulasi keaksaraan awal anak usia 5-6 tahun. Penelitian ini didasari atas kurangna media bermain yang efektif dalam menumbuhkan keaksaraan awal secara menyenangkan. Produk BeBiBoo berupa cerita fabel “Bidu si Badak Kehilangan Rumahnya” dikembangkan melalui pendekatan membaca bersama (shared reading), kegiatan bermain peran, serta kegiatan bermain konstruktif tanpa menghilangkan muatan cerita. Pengembangan dilakukan secara sistematis dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Materi pada media BeBiBoo dalam kegiatan bermain ini dirancang untuk menstimulasi sembilan indikator keaksaraan awal, yaitu pengetahuan alfabet, kesadaran fonologis, kecepatan membaca nama, menulis nama, memori fonologis, konsep tentang buku dan cetakan, pengetahuan cetak, bahasa lisan, serta pemrosesan visual. Sampel uji coba yaitu anak kelas B di lembaga TK melalui tehnik pengumpulan data pada small group dan big group dengan penilaian kelayakan melibatkan ahli materi, ahli media, dan praktisi menggunakan instrumen skala Likert, serta skala Guttman untuk penilaian kemampuan anak. Hasil menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan sebesar 88% oleh ahli materi, 97% oleh ahli media, dan 83% oleh praktisi. Uji coba kepada peserta didik menghasilkan persentase kelayakan 92% pada kelompok kecil dan 94% pada kelompok besar. Produk BeBiBoo dalam kegiatan bermain ini dinyatakan layak digunakan guru sebagai media bermain untuk menstimulasi kemampuan keaksaraan awal melalui implementasi media big book BeBiBoo dalam kegiatan bermain. ***** This development research aims to implement the results of the development of BeBiBoo big book media in play activities to stimulate early literacy in children aged 5-6 years. This research is based on the need for effective play media to foster early literacy in a playful approach. The product BeBiBoo, a fable titled “Bidu si Badak Kehilangan Hutannya” was developed through shared reading, role-playing, and constructive game approaches without removing the story content. The development was carried out systematically using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The materials in the BeBiBoo media for play activities were designed to stimulate nine early literacy indicators, namely alphabet knowledge, phonological awareness, rapid automatic name, writing name, phonological memory, concepts about books and print, print knowledge, oral language, and visual processing. The test sample consisted of children in class B at a kindergarten school through data collection techniques in small groups and big groups with feasibility assessments involving subject matter experts, media experts, and practitioners using Likert scale instruments and Guttman scales to assess children's abilities. The results showed a feasibility level of 88% by subject matter experts, 97% by media experts, and 83% by practitioners. The trial with students resulted in a feasibility percentage of 92% in the small group and 94% in the large group. The BeBiBoo product in this play activity was deemed feasible for teachers to use as a play medium to stimulate early literacy skills through the implementation of the BeBiBoo big book media in play-based activities.
