Abstract
Kata kunci : miskonsepsi, CCT, learning cycle 5E, organ pernapasan, organ pencernaan ***** THE EFFORTS TO OVERCOME MISCONCEPTION USING CONCEPTUAL CHANGE TEXTS WITH LEARNING CYCLE MODEL IN SCIENCE LEARNING FOR GRADE V ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS Fryda Novelina Abstract This research aims to overcome misconceptions about the material on human respiratory and digestive organs byconceptual change texts through learning learning cycle 5E (Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, And Evaluate). The research was conducted in the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year and involved 28 fifth grade students of SDN Setia Asih 06, Bekasi Regency. This research was conducted using the classroom action research method model of Kemmis and Mc Taggart (1998) which consists of 4 components, namely: (1) Planning (planning), (2) Action (acting), (3) Observation (observing), and (4) Reflection. The research was conducted in two cycles, where in cycle 1 the percentage of changes in the concept of parts of the human respiratory organs with the understanding category was 64.2%, the change in the concept of human respiratory mechanisms with the understanding category was 50%, and the change in the concept of disorders of human respiratory organs with the understanding category was 67.8%. In the second cycle, the percentage of changes in the concept of human digestive organs on average in the understanding category was from 15.47% to 82.11%, the misconception category was from 74.97% to 10.71% and not understanding from 9.52% to 7.14%. Data analysis was conducted through qualitative data analysis through the process of data reduction, coding and categories to describe changes in student misconceptions. The results of the study showed the use ofconceptual change textsin the learning modellearning cycle5E can overcome misconceptions about the material on human respiratory and digestive organs because it has achieved the success target.>70%, reaching 82.11%, is the understanding category with a significant decrease in misconceptions. The results of the study indicate that students experience misconceptions regarding the concepts of human respiratory organs and human digestive organs. The 5E learning model has facilitated students to change their misconceptions through a process of cognitive conflict with previous understanding. Thus, the 5E learning model withconceptual change texscan be used to overcome misconceptions in science learning, especially material on human respiratory organs and human digestive organs. Keywords : misconception, CCT,learning cycle5E, respiratory organs, digestive organs
